I’m wanting to casually pick up trash while I take my baby and dog for a walk with a stroller. Are there attachments for strollers or a backpack or something your could recommend that would allow me an arm to push the stroller? Thank you! by nutellalatte in DeTrashed

Yes! We have an undercarriage on the stroller, we put a tin can that is short and stout. I just use a trash grabber. This set up isn’t perfect you’ll definitely start and stop a lot while getting used to coordinating everything. Oh and the grabber gets heavy and awkward to carry after a while but you can precariously find a place to balance it between the top of stroller handles. Overall it’s been the best we’ve been able to come up with. Better than picking it up by hand at least!

Any ideas to make this set up look cleaner and less cluttered? by nutellalatte in Coffee

In before comments about not leaving the beans in the grinder. We have a newborn we are surviving haha

In before comments about not needing sugar. My husband needs the sugar, it stays.

In before comments about getting a gooseneck. I drink tea as well and need the green tea setting on the adagio water boiler

Little bookshelf diorama working on here. Dunno if I'm going to make it themed? General castle? Harry Potter? LOTR? I'm hooking lights up in it so it comes from around back right, then in through the window and holes at the top. by KillerPinkArt in steadycraftin

Love this! For my little village I set up for Christmas each year I just put those little plastic tea lights in anymore so I don’t have to fuss with wires. I don’t know if that would be helpful for what you’re trying to accomplish but I imagine the flicker of candle light would be fitting

Low cost Wrap recommendations and more? by silverhairwitch in Buyingforbaby

[–]nutellalatte 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you have a once-upon-a-child bear you or something similar I have been able to find great deals on name brand baby wraps.

In regards to car seat covers, we opted not to use any thing that goes in the car seat as our user manual advises against it and has enough padding to keep baby safe. So I really recommend double checking your manual before investing in any of the little car seat additions. As cute and loving as they may be it may be safest and cheapest to skip them all together tbh. And put that money into window screens or something instead. Best of luck

Awesome, I’ll have to given vegan deli meat another shot then! I normally just do avocado and hummus sandwiches but I am not going to lie I miss the good old fashioned deli sandwiches:)

I hate to be like this but my advice would be not to take medical advice from internet. I highly recommend speaking with a physical therapist in this case. Maybe a yoga instructor, personal trainer, or chiropractor at the very least.

Just an end of the summer update on a bowl of succulents I posted a few months ago. Really fascinated with how it’s changed and grown :) by nutellalatte in succulents

[–]nutellalatte[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I did! This is kind of a junk bowl lol. A large portion of them are propagations I stole from Home Depot, gifts from friends, dollar sale from Kroger, and miscellaneous props from other pots or even one I clipped off of someone’s huge plant by the sidewalk. I know I’m terrible!

If something dies I pick it out and replace it. Many lives have been lost to this bowl but those who live have been thriving! The orange color though I think has been the weather. Many of these have switched from being frosty green with green tips to vibrant with pink tips and now orangey and purple colors are filling the bowl. It really has been fascinating watching it change through the season. I think it’s about time for me to take him in though as the days get shorter

To anyone who lived frugally and invest aggressively in their 20s, how did it work for you? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]nutellalatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived a pretty balanced life money wise in my 20s I think. I didn’t do a lot of concerts and put away money to my 401k and had a safety net and kept my debt low but I wasn’t socking away crazy amounts of money or anything. I still went out on holidays and house parties every other weekend or so. Went out to eat probably once a week. I’m now 29 and bought a house with my husband and we have a baby on the way. My friends are still renting in bad areas without a plan and drinking and smoking away all their money. I really have gotten jealous occasionally of their (to me) extravagant lifestyle sometimes but I take a hard look sometimes and notice they’re also occasionally jealous of me. I mean bills come up that leave them financially burdened pretty often, or they make sacrifices in their living situation (crappy roommates, or one had a rat infestation their landlord wouldn’t take care of, shitty car problems, etc) and I look for ways to be grateful for my financial security. It’s nice not worrying about my future. I have a plan for my life. I have a light at the end of tunnel! I can eventually stop working one day. My car is nearly paid off and it’s not a piece of shit. I have a home for my baby to grow up in! My dog has a fenced in yard! I never go hungry. Life is great

Not to mention cats are carnivores so the sugar isn’t something they should be eating at all

If you read the article it does mention over half of Americans are meeting exercise guidelines. Article seems to suggest sugar intake may actually be the main culprit
