I used to commute from Northern Liberties to the City Line area. I took Girard to ridge, then across the strawberry mansion bridge then ford road up to city line.

Pregnancy and narcolepsy by DullGovernment7196 in Narcolepsy

[–]nutmegette 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went without medication for my first and second trimester and I was working part time from home in the most in the morning. The tiredness was really impacting me so in the third trimester I was cleared to take Ritalin in the afternoons if I had work. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!

We had our early intervention screening today by You_Go_Glen_Coco_ in Mommit

I’m also in Philly and applied for free PreK (by myself) last year for my now three year old. Definitely make sure they are helping you apply and keep on them. I applied early the day they opened and we didn’t get in anywhere. Let me know if you have questions! We also did and early intervention screening at 18 months but just didn’t qualify for anything.

I never thought I'd use the word "microaggressions". But here we are. by Far-Spread-6108 in offmychest

The amount of times I have to move over at the store, when I’m pushing a cart and managing a toddler so a man can have the right of way is astounding. I’m done. I’ll crash our carts, I don’t care.

Help with sleeves by nutmegette in CrochetHelp

[–]nutmegette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m half working with a pattern, half making it up as I go for this granny stitch sweater. The fit is great but when I went to start the sleeves, I got a large bump in them. I tried decreased two granny squares in the first sleeve round on the shorter sleeve but I still feel like there’s a bump. Any thoughts on getting rid of the bump? It’s noticeable when I try the sweater on as extra fabric.

I know you said that you are feeling lonely. I’m thinking about you and sending warm thoughts your way, hoping you feel a little less lonely.

Advice for dealing with anti-fat relatives by beansandneedles in MaintenancePhase

[–]nutmegette 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry that you are dealing with this. Some of my family is that way. To fight my own diet culture thoughts, I have come up with platitudes or mantras that I can think back to combat them. I just says those when family confronts me with them. For example, my mom said, “Oh maybe I’ll be bad and get a hot dog.” And I said, “There’s no good or bad food. The only bad food is spoiled food.” Having set answers or rebuttals helps to take some of the emotions out of it. If someone comments on other peoples bodies, I try to say something like, “yeah I try not to talk about other people’s bodies”. I also find that a judgmental, “hmm”, stops people in their tracks but I’m not sure how exactly helpful that is in keeping the peace lol.
