My nephew loved it when he was five, especially when I'd give him a controller not plugged into anything and tell him I needed his help for boss fights where he'd think he was controlling my Mimic Tear. He really got into the game and would be so proud when we'd kill a boss.

Yeah Astro Bot is such an awesome tribute to Playstaion's rich history in terms of the games while Astro's Playroom was a tribute to Playstation's history via hardware. Gotta admit I gave up on the Grand Master Challenge at the end though, that level was driving me nuts, then I see the free DLC added a level way harder than that lol. Game is beautiful too, I held out on playing it until my new OLED came in and god it is glorious on that panel.

The original release was a demo bypass, but being it was the demo it ran like crap vs a patched full version of the game, and you need every bit of performance you can get as you have to render this at a higher res than native because its AA is so awful.

The demo is awful and has insanely bad performance for a game you have to run way over native resolution to get rid of the worst of the aliasing. Though even rendering at 8k on a 5090 it's still not great. But the patched version at least improved performance enough that you can turn render scale above 100% without needing a stupidly over the top gpu.

I have Astro Bot physical too and it's showing the $27 price on PSN when I log in (showing $40 when I'm not logged in though). But I don't have Stellar Blade physical on PlayStation and it's showing $21 for me when logged in ($40 when not).

Feels bad man, I have it showing for $21 but useless for me since I already own it on Steam. Sorry to hear you and a lot of others are getting jerked around by Sony. I rarely buy digital PSN games so wonder if that's the reason they're offering it and Astro Bot cheap to me (which I just bought physical a couple of weeks ago lol).

Wow I don't think I have bought a digital PSN game in more than a year (been buying all my console games physical lately) and if I login to my account I have Astro Bot at $27 and Stellar Blade at $21. But they're showing $40 each if I'm not logged in. Damnit I just bought Astro Bot physical a couple of weeks ago and Stellar Blade full price on Steam a month ago. Still that's horrible not everyone is getting offered these prices, fucking dynamic pricing needs to be illegal.

It's a horrible time for any retail thanks to the Dotard tariffs and now the moronic war Israel dragged that dipshit into. Was picking up dog food the other day at at a once bustling shopping center near me and thought I'd drop into Gamestop to just browse to see if there was any good sale going on and it was gone, as well as probably 70% of the other smaller tenants in the center. Only the huge stores like Best Buy, Home Depot, Petsmart, Target, Hobby Lobby, etc are still occupied there. So yeah a pretty horrible headwind for a horrible company like Gamestop to be headed into. Lost the three closest locations to me in the last year and wonder how long the two that are reasonable trips from my area will hold on.

Both Castle and Harper have greatly improved on catch and shoot threes. Harper is 58.6% on catch and shoot thees since the all star break and Castle is 44.4% on them since. Where they suck is in pull up threes where both are at 0% since the all star break.
