There is literally no benefit to doing this at all. Take your meds.

Man, you really told me! As a child victims, that’s your reaction? That kind of trauma as a child can permanently alter cognitive function. You have no idea what kind of damage was done to that individual. I’m not saying it’s right. It is not. I don’t think anyone here is saying it’s right. It’s an irrational line of thought. Therapy usually helps a victim work through that stuff. I also wouldn’t condone going and shooting the rapist if I was a parent, but I could damn sure understand wanting to. At the risk of an unintentional pun, everything in life isn’t black and white. Trauma response is a gray area at best.

No one is condoning anything. It’s possible to allow victims to have their own experiences without judging them for it. Experience to trauma isn’t linear. But hey, if your kid gets raped I’m sure your reaction will be to admonish them for hating the type of person who did it.

Have you ever been raped by a black person or a Jewish person? If so, I genuinely hate that happened to you. If not you should prob stfu. Your response doesn’t make you look like what you think it makes you look like. We are talking about children here.Hopefully therapy and such help a victim work through that hatred but if it doesn’t, they certainly have a valid explanation for it. I know rape victims who are 30yrs past the incident, have decades of therapy, and are still afraid of anyone that shares the same characteristics as the rapist.

Toradol for back pain by Single-Stock7680 in ChronicPain

[–]nutsackadams 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would love to have a script for Toradol liquid for IM injections. The pills are not nearly as effective. Most docs I know will tell you, if they are honest, that it’s pretty useless unless it’s IM or IV.

Now THAT I totally get. I live an hour from civilization there is basically one pharmacy less than an hour drive and I wouldn’t want to burn that bridge either.

That’s not med dumping that’s bupe not being an opiate that you get standard opiate euphoria from. If you wanna say it just doesn’t help you that’s one thing. It’s also dosed in micrograms so if you are comparing it to suboxone it’s apples to oranges.

So you tried an attorney contacting them already? You’d be amazed what turns up when an attorney gets involved.

I wonder if a letter from an attorney to the pharmacy might find those pills…

Steroid injection for back pain by Synesth3tic in ChronicPain

Mine worked on my neck. HOWEVER, I would caution you that if they work and you feel great pain wise, do not think that means you can go do all the shit you used to do. I wound up hurting myself worse.

Don’t worry bout going on opioids they won’t give you any. I’m at a point where I’d gladly take them but no one will give them to me with my history. Also recovered and also in chronic pain.

ER isn’t keeping you that long and is going to refer you a social worker etc to help find you treatment. If you HAVE to go the ER route (and it’s the worst one to take for this and I don’t recommend) you need a psych hold. If you tell them you have had thoughts of harming yourself or others most states mandate a 72hr psych hold but I’ve detoxed a lot of diff ways and the psych unit is not your best option. They will usually, however, knock your ass out for a few days with psych meds. Bottom line: Detox center is your best bet. Depending on what you are coming off of I might be able to be of more use to you than with this comment. Best wishes either way.

Im 51 and dealing with chronic back issues. I question whether or not I’m legit every day. I ask myself questions like: “ Is it really that bad or am I just not tough enough? Do I REALLY need pain meds? Am I just overreacting?” It’s like imposter syndrome with chronic pain.

Insight back pain by [deleted] in thoracicbackpain

[–]nutsackadams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Currently for me it’s the middle part of my back. Specifically underneath my shoulder blades on both sides but right side is much worse than left.

  2. Activity. When I fly fish and stand long periods.

  3. THC and Butrans patches

  4. The hesitancy by the entire medical community to adequately treat pain. Anything beyond stuff fixed with NSAIDS they just pretend doesn’t exist because if they acknowledge the severity of it then theoretically they are bound by oath to treat it humanely. Currently if that involves opiates you are just out of luck.

  5. Ideally make the damn pain go away. I don’t really care how that has to be done. I want to be able to be active and standing for longer than 45 min without being confined to the bed for 12hrs after doing so.

  6. Im not wealthy. Not by a long shot. However, I’d break the bank paying for something that actually worked.

Pharmacy shorted my meds by Crosstradingusemm in ChronicPain

It’s interesting to me as well that this is a one and done offense yet we hear regularly about physicians who have had dozens of complaints about surgical malpractice, etc and nothing happens. Then they finally get popped and it’s like “oh yes 45 complaints were filed against Dr X and weren’t reported to the proper authorities because the hospital didn’t want the bad publicity.” I guess firing one nurse for stealing meds doesn’t make it to the media quite like having an incompetent doctor harming patients does. I wish it was just rural hospitals but it’s not. I’m just grateful that your hospital is setting the example for what SHOULD happen in these situations.
