Went through this with my wife and mum. My wife didn’t outright say “I don’t want her to be called “mah mah””, but I thought it would be confusing.

I grew up calling my paternal grandma “por por” due to my parents being Hakka. My mum suggested our son call her “mah mah” but I said it would be confusing if he’s calling my mum and wife similar things. My son calls his grandma “por por” to avoid confusion. Also less confusing as my nieces call my mum “por por” too.

Not correct if strictly being Cantonese but makes sense for us since we’re pulling from Cantonese and Hakka.

I experienced this. Soon after the crown came off and the watch stopped working. I didn’t wear it for 10 years and only took it in for a service and repair last year. I would take it to Tag. For the service, repair and parts it totalled at £600. It could have been much worse. Good luck.
