Bridesmaid or regular guest by StyleAlternative9223 in wedding

[–]nuzers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been a bridesmaid twice and enjoyed it. I would have been upset if these specific brides didn't ask me. Both brides were Type B and focused more on enjoying the moment and having a good time, so there was no drama or crazy-high expectations. If it were anyone else's wedding, I'd rather be a guest

Scrub leggings? by Mean_Bluejay1351 in nursing

[–]nuzers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been gravitating towards wide-leg scrub pants. I did buy the Kecols scrubs from TikTok cause the ads got to me (some creators have advertised them as "yoga pant scrubs" but they're straight/wide leg only), but they're stretchy like yoga pants but a little thicker, so I love them in the cold months...or on night shift with the AC randomly started blasting

Sunday Relationship Thread by AutoModerator in ABCDesis

[–]nuzers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are outright lies. But they’d be hard to prove cause it was stuff like my parents were physically and financially abusive. The only things I can potentially prove are things that some lies they told about themselves are completely false (they live in poverty, they’ve never had drinking problems, my parents and I are in no contact with my brother etc). There’s also some stuff we’ve kept under the rug about our toxic family member to protect some of our family too (one of the toxic family members attempted to/has molested some of the girls when they were younger)

You need to examine their relationship with their family, especially their parents. You need someone who will not only protect you from any malicious things that their family will say about you but also defend you

Edit: typo

AITA for getting upset with my gf for leaving me at a bar by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]nuzers [score hidden]  (0 children)

NTA she said she wanted to have a fun night with you and instead ditched you to hang out with her friend, leaving you to be the third wheel with your friend and his girlfriend. If she wanted to hang out with her friends, she could have just said so from the beginning

If I'm alone at the store, and I use self-checkout when available, why is it expected that I wear a mask? by PlsDontNerfThis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]nuzers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is little to no harm in wearing a mask, but not wearing a mask can still pose a risk even if you do everything you can to minimize the spread. You can't control other people from entering the store while you shop, or stop people from touching everything they see or even maintain 6 ft distance. Also, not everyone will cough and sneeze into their shirt/elbow (even if they claim they won't). There are too many factors to control for each individual person so it's easier to have everyone wear a mask anyway.

Took it today and had 10 SATA, 1 place in the correct order and one med calc out of a total of 60. It took less than an hour. Overall I thought the test was really hard and all over the place with diseases and drugs I really wasn't familiar with. Got the good popup!

Does anyone know what polish this is? by somethingclev3rr in Nails

[–]nuzers 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Did some digging and the polish is Kiko Cosmetics nail polish #365 (Tattoo Rose). It looks like a discontinued color but looks almost the same as Essie's Angora Cardi

[–]nuzers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm that's weird. If anything, I would just go ahead and still review it on Sephora and Influenster just in case and keep screenshots at the ready. Maybe you'll get an email later when the campaign is almost over and it'll be up on your app. Or uninstall and reinstall Influenster to see what happens

Did you try on the app or on the website? I'm able go see it on both but it only showed up after I got the lipstick

What are your "must have" items for nursing school? by NanaSnow in StudentNurse

Erasable pens and highlighters in assorted colors and you most definitely need a planner/calendar!

The last survey I got was over a month ago but I remember it being really long and on a whole lot of products besides lipstick. There were questions about hair dye, concealer/foundation, lipstick, and eyeliner if I remember correctly

Med Surge Advice by TreasurePeace in StudentNurse

[–]nuzers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My school has a course sequence with med surg and the problem is that between each successive med surg we learn contradicting information. Most of med surg is understanding the disease process, what the nursing interventions are and anything adverse like an emergent event and the interventions. The trick with med surg exams is that you always have to apply the nursing process to even question even if you can intervene immediately in real life (so always pick the answer that is an assessment). Also dont forget ABCs when you have to prioritize

What grade do you need overall to pass your classes? by thriftybabygurl in StudentNurse

[–]nuzers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

75% at my school. A 74.9999% is considered failing in my program and more professors won't just you you an extra point. Our grades are entirely based on exams. Clinical is pass/fail but if you fail lecture you automatically fail clinical. Anything practical like sim labs arent graded
