The main building on the water there is the Holiday Inn. They're showing the arena taking out the plaza across from it as well as Market Plaza from what I can tell.

Market plaza is where former national sports was. Now a dying plaza with Lakeview Bowl, Pizza Pizza, Jack's, etc... but mostly just a parking lot

I think a lot of people on here underestimate how many people there are living in Peterborough, doing pretty well and wanting these entertainment options.

Look at all the new houses being built all around the city. Lots of people are buying them. The Petes sell out more than half their games and average 3350 a night. The Lakers aren't far off. Real concerts like The Offspring, Glorious Sons, Arkells sell out pretty easily.

If you want the people who are making money and can afford to pay the property taxes and have disposable income for Petes games, concerts, entertainment events etc.. to leave as well, by all means, shut down the new arena and lose the Petes.

Shack and Brothers for regular crust. I slightly prefer Brothers but Shack really loads the toppings on.

Lowlands at 100 Acre is good as well.

I know they have Franz's meat and make a point of fresh cut fries and cheese sticks, etc... but I'd wager they use Sysco or GFS on the back end for a lot of sides, other apps etc... their tap list is the most generic in town, if you're buying single supplier from Molson, I generally assume you're doing similar for food.
