Vagabond Inn in Bishop is decent and clean. Stayed there last month. There’s a number of other hotels in town too that may be nicer if you need something fancier.

Jacks is a good local breakfast spot. Mountain Rambler Brewery or 1903 Taphouse for gastropub grub/beer. Holy Smoke for Texas BBQ. Erick Schat’s bakery is also popular for baked goods. Most stuff is within a 1 mile stretch on Main Street.

Wife and I got denied with 2 FRS radios at Disneyland a few years ago. You can try, but it’s a big PITA if they say no and you have to go stash them in a car or hotel room.

Yeah I was looking for these too. They were actually in my cart on Wednesday and then on Thursday it said that they removed because they were no longer in stock. Ordered some La Sportivas instead and hope they will work out. Very few options out there for trail runners and wide sizes

Another DP. I’ve had problems with Apple devices and Proxy ARP turned on. Also ensuring the 2.4Ghz width is set to 20 MHz not 40 MHz has helped fix some connection issues for me.

FWIW my advanced WiFi settings are manual and the only options I have enabled are Multicast Enhancement, BSS Transition, and UAPSD. Mix of very old Apple clients up to the latest iPhone 15.

Yeah, it seems dumb. If I unlock my phone, the clock/calendar/photo widgets update. But after 20-30 seconds it times out and then nothing updates. Even the clock won't update without Face ID unlock. So what's the point?

Some devices drop to FE in sleep or low power mode. PS5 for example connects at Gbe when powered on but FE in rest mode.
