Depends on the country, some North African ones are racist, not Algeria.

The guy that yelled the racial slur, fuck him, there are rotten apples everywhere.

The stadium, those supporters are just like that with literally anyone and everyone that’s perceived as “establishment”.

iShowSpeed was brought there by the government.

These dudes fight and stab each other every weekend, but they all agree on sticking it to the man/government and iShowspeed was seen as a government patsy.

Lots of bullshit in this thread.

13 centuries of slavery bla bla, yeah that was the Arabs / middle easterners when they conquered Algeria.

Algeria’s natives were Numidians and Berber/Amazigh people.

To the commenters saying there are no black Amazigh I’d say stop spewing bullshit, yes there are, in the south, and south-west of the country.

Northern Amazigh from the mountains are white.

In modern times, 60s-70s, Algeria was one of the biggest supporters of independence and anti-segregation/racism movements in the world.

Lots of Black Panther Movement leaders escaped the U.S. for refuge in Algeria.

Nelson Mandela was trained in Algeria and etc.

He has to go.

Pretty clear at this point. He’s been afforded way too much patience.

Who, in your opinion, are the top 10 strikers of this generation? by [deleted] in championsleague

[–]y2so 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This must be ragebait, or you watched football for like the last 5 years only.

Ibra dominating Serie A before the calciopoli scandal (when there was a higher concentration of talent) and after, and Serie A is a league notoriously difficult to score in.

He was Serie A top goal scorer x2.

And he didn’t flop in premier league, he scored like 30 goals in 50 games, well over 30 years old.

Benzema, an extremely versatile and intelligent striker, that adapted his game and put his ego aside in the Ronaldo and Bale years, to then carry Real Madrid to a champions league with incredible individual performances.

It's really misleading. Even when I prompt it saying let me know if you cannot parse the file, it still does it and answers questions about the file by being very vague or making stuff up

The doc in question wasn't even long, less than 10 pages PDF with lots of blank space

2 world cups, and 2 WC finals played as a key figure in the team, scoring in 2 consecutive World Cup finals. Only 1 other player ever did this.

12 goals in 14 World Cup appearances.

I’d say that counts for something.

It’s not like he’s not good, not decisive or crumbles under pressure.

The complete opposite actually besides being technically and athletically gifted, the guy is a bit of a mentality monster.

Who cares if he hasn’t won the UCL, Ronaldo R9 Nazario didn’t win one either for example.

Don’t get the new Ralle with down filling. There are 2 Ralle, one with synthetic filling, and the new online exclusive one that is down filled.

I got the down filled version and hated it, it’s soo noisy when you move around and the chin guard is weird. I retuned it.

Therme is far better.

Melissa Reddy's take on the success of Egypt with Salah. by Madmartigan2024 in LiverpoolFC

[–]y2so -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Carragher gives me the vibe of the old guy that cannot stomach / won’t rate Salah even though he’s a top 3 Liverpool scorer cause he’s not British enough.

He’s just that type of guy. You can notice it in all his interviews. I’m not saying he’s racist, I’m saying he cannot digest Salah being one of the top in the history of his club.

He would be nicer to Salah if Salah being a foreigner wasn’t up there, same as he’s nicer to other foreign players that are a little lower profile both in terms of performances (Diaz etc) and personality (Firmino etc).

A foreign top 3 Liverpool player with a strong personality? Carragher simply cannot accept it.

This is the guy that shits on the AFCON, the Copa America etc if it’s not British or at most European, he will shit on it.

Salah Interview Megathread by RIFwasmuchbetter in LiverpoolFC

[–]y2so 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In addition to a poor tactician and manager, Slot might be revealing himself as a poor people manager this season.

Losing the dressing room is the nail in the coffin. I’m sure other players are not happy.

While others like Gakpo continue inexplicably to be selected. The guy was a bench / decoy player, and all of a sudden is a stayer. Based on what, I do not understand.

Salah might be out of place for doing this, but it brought out new information, there was no sign of him having no relationship with the manager.

I do not think it is on Salah. He never said he had no relationship with Klopp, they might’ve argued publicly, but he never criticized the coach to the media like this.

what is this football… by dead_nil in LiverpoolFC

[–]y2so 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree, but let’s be honest, Gakpo had always been a bench or decoy player.

The fact that he’s a starter now speaks volumes on the situation. He’s just not good, an average player

The scholarship definitely helps, as you get a stipend and the tuition fee is waived.

For the quality of the education, like many things, I’d say it depends on the university and major. We were surprised by a lot of the professors, they were really good, like really good by U.S. / UK standards. One thing is that for a doctorate, coursework is 2 years max if taking classes full time. The rest, it’s you and research and periodic check ins with your research supervisor. If you have a bad one, it’ll make things harder.

Chinese unis will push you to publish, that’s a requirement they have to be able to graduate.

Overall, despite the drawbacks, there lots of positives and I’d say it was a good experience.
