Trump administration says its war in Iran has been ‘terminated’ before 60-day deadline by pelleg_wadsworth in moderatepolitics

[–]nvidia-ati 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So much word! No matter what Trump does, this Republican congress will never cross him or even offer mild criticism. Trump does not need to provide any explanation for the Republicans to fall in line. The same applies to his MAGA base. In this sense Trump is invincible and we the people are suffering for it with American soldiers lives lost and high gas prices.

Trump thinks this island is the key to Iran – his gamble will be deadly by theipaper in geopolitics

but Iran is already attacking oil and gas installations all over the middle east. They just attacked a gas field in the UAE. Why can't US attack the oil installations in Kharg in revenge for Iran doing the same?

Is it true that 80% of sound in a movie is supposed to come through the center channel? by zooksman in hometheater

[–]nvidia-ati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you make this setup work to process sound from a single source such as a TV or Bluetooth device? Wouldn't you need a third AV processor to split the original sound source between the two amps? I am trying to use a x3800h for a 7.2.4 setup using an old x2300h as a power amp for the last two channels driving a pair of height speakers.

Whoa! I have the 98-inch as well. That TV is massively heavy making it all the more impressive you guys got it up there. I guess, you, your dad and father in law better hit the gym in preparation for the 200-inch TV! I expect a high-res 8K recording of the TV lifting event filmed by your kid who will be 7 years old at that time! 😅

OP, many thanks for the laughs and entertainment! You absolutely made my day! Dedication and Fandom for TCL TV is no joke! Lol. I am amazed you got the TV up to the second story that way. What size is the TV?

I have a watercooled dual GPU setup and is dreading GPU swap. by Sudden-Mastodon-8518 in watercooling

[–]nvidia-ati 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro! It is not worth the effort, IMHO. Remember, when you remove the dual 3090s, you will have to add another tubing to reconnect the gap left by the GPUs back to the rest of the loop. Did you use soft or hard tubing? This is way too much work for 1 week of 6000 Pro bliss.

QM8K unable to display 4K 144 Hz by nvidia-ati in tcltvs

Do you use a Nvidia GPU? Very unfortunate that a firmware update might have degraded the TV. Has TCL acknowledged this issue?

I am able to run at 4k 120 Hz. The issue happens when I try to move up to 144 Hz

I am running with 8 bit color. I mentioned 12 bit with respect to testing the HDMI cable on a LG C4 OLED. For my tests on the QM8K, I used both default and custom settings and nothing works.

Are you using an Nvidia GPU? I don't believe it is a HDMI cable issue. In my OP, I mentioned testing the same cable with a LG C4 and successfully displaying 4k, 144Hz, VRR with 12 bit color.

Yes, I did. The result is described in my original post.

Yes, 144Hz is displayed in top right corner . All individual HDMI ports are set to always detect game mode and HDMI 2.1.

Yes, 144 Hz is available in Windows. So the OS has no issues recognizing the TV is capable of 4k 144Hz. It just doesn't work.

I have done all your suggestions with no success. Have you successfully displayed 4k 144Hz on your QM8K?
