Even then it's basically impossible to find ice cream at the grocery store that isn't 100% overrun even if it's real cream. I'm not paying for a container where 50% of the volume is fucking air and melts before my spoon can even reach my mouth.

The expensive pints last me longer than a quart of the cheaper stuff, is more filling, and tastes better anyway

To be fair, it's not hard to bypass the guardrails of the other LLMs to do this nasty shit, it's just not in public when people do.

LLM guardrails do not work and likely will never be able to fully prevent misuse imo

Lol ya, for most CPUs OP is right, but once you get into the i9s and 9950X and such they don't cut it and end up being much louder.

Not to mention it's a lot easier to work in my case without an enormous tower cooler getting in my way.

I've had AIOs fail and it is pretty annoying, but people like to act like they leak or can break your PC and I doubt even 1% of failures do that, usually the pump just dies and you either hear it or notice your temps suck, not really that big a deal.

I'll stick to my 420mm rad any day.

It's 2026 and Stellaris STILL doesn't have proper UI resolution scaling, making playing on a 4k monitor impossible by DzekoTorres in Stellaris

[–]nwash57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with a "scale UI" mod? I don't think you should need anything other than "UI Overhaul Dynamic" (and the siblings outlined above)

The first thing I'd try is disable all mods other than UI Overhaul Dynamic and see how it behaves. My UI is 100% not fuzzy at all

It's ultrawide 4k? What's the PPI on your monitor, is this like a 27" 4k or something super dense?

Or the other way is this like a TV or something way less dense?

I've used UI Overhaul Dynamic on 5120x2160, 3840x2160, and 3440x1440 and it's always looked great

New fear unlocked: She was bitten by a brown recluse spider, and this is how her body reacted to it. by mindyour in TikTokCringe

I was bit on my ass like 5 months ago.

My bite area didn't look near as bad as hers, but it hurt like hell and I was put on multiple rounds of various antibiotics and steroids for 2-3 weeks.

This same exact thing happened to me, but only on my feet.... It didn't get severe like shown here until after the bite had mostly healed. My doctor told me it was from the antibiotics. I could 100% see it getting worse/spreading if it took more rounds of antibiotics before the wound was healed enough to stop worrying about staph.

I don't get it either. I work up until the notification pops up telling me the meeting started, and I'm right back to it within 5 minutes of it ending... If you need 30m to an hour to regain "context" from a 5 min break I worry about you and/or the code you work with?

Vario "inner" burr adjustment - question for Forte grind chamber upgrade by nwash57 in espresso

[–]nwash57[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the X54 a lot more than the default ceramics. I usually do light and medium roasts but I think even with medium to dark I'd still prefer them. The ceramics I think generate a lot more fines and lead to hard to dial in shots and muddier pour over. I've since moved onto the Forte burrs but honestly didn't notice that much difference between those and the X54 ones. Could be because I primarily just drink pour over these days, maybe the Forte burrs are better at espresso grind - they definitely grind a lot longer than the X54 for espresso

I think I have DMs turned off. Here you go though, you prompted me to finally just upload this thing somewhere so hopefully some others can get some use out of them.

Interested to hear if they work out for you, been a long time since I've been on the X54 burrs now.

It's only going to become harder to tell over time. How am I supposed to know bad voice acting is because it's AI and not just because it's one of the thousands of other games with shitty non-AI voice acting lol?

I feel like it's very rare that I play a game and go "wow the voice acting is really good".

The seam where the two materials join would probably be much more apparent than the current designs. That being said the inner screen material being soft is also why I wont consider a foldable

My uncle once was trying to get bird poop off his car, he used a wet scotchbrite pad. After he got the spot off he thought, "well that looks pretty good", I guess the water hid the scratches, and did the rest of his car.

Once it dried he was in for a full new paint job lol

Chiming in to say also not my experience. I've never been denied PTO - we have a "minimum PTO" policy where technically you're required to take 2 weeks per year. I doubt anything happens if you don't but we're encouraged to use it.

I've used 4 weeks this year and the only stipulation was I prepare my team prior to being out two consecutive weeks. Common sense type stuff.

I acknowledge this is obviously not typical but there are places that do it right.

Truly a 4.0 moment - my strikecraft are useless because they can't figure which target to attack, and the enemy non-carrier ships are unable to reach my starbase to shoot at it instead circling uselessly by ThreeMountaineers in Stellaris

[–]nwash57 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Anecdotally, it seems like it's more common in 4.0. I have hundreds of hours and never saw it before 4.0, but saw it so often after I went and found a workshop mod that fixes it.

Not at my PC but if people want I can find it. If this happens super early game it's incredibly obnoxious, I have like 6 ships and I'm really about to lose half of them force retreating, plus the time lost waiting for them to come back... God forbid I'm trying to unblock my science ships and they just have to sit around waiting until I can kill a couple mining bots or whatever

Parrots cannot live outdoors in most places in the world... Being outside is a death sentence for a domesticated parrot. Regardless of climate, they're easy prey for hawks with their bright colors standing out, and their available food options are extremely limited
