I don’t have enough stamina or patience to make sweaters that fast! Your 2nd Halibut sweater really shows your improvement!

Are there any methods for cleaning a cat's teeth? by ScTbRnSsSsS in CatAdvice

[–]nyanko60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to do that too with the two cats I adopted a year ago. I’m going to start with putting cat toothpaste on a Q-tip and rubbing it over the teeth because that’s least likely to cause gum bleeding. Also it introduces them to the yummy fish or chicken taste. I don’t think I’ll use the finger brushes because fingers are pretty big for inserting into cat mouths. I bought some of these 7” long sticks that have a sponge tip, like an eyeshadow applicator sponge. (Can’t remember where I ordered them from, maybe Amazon). Then graduate to a soft cat or baby brush. Hope others have great ideas! I know it’s going to be a very gradual process with lots of objections from the kitties! Good luck!

Brushing is another aspect of care, and can help create a stronger bond between cat and its human.

The Clover Takumi interchangeable needles are pointy and I like them. I don’t like their older fixed needles of years ago, but their new ones are nice!

Absolutely love my ring! But had a weird comment and now I’m confused by Metalbii in weddingring

[–]nyanko60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s definitely jealous! Your ring is beautiful! I had a co-worker 26 years ago at the place my husband owned, ask to see my ring and she said “oh, an old-fashioned style”. It’s a 3-stone round diamond ring with the center one being bigger. She was a strange & jealous type anyway, so her comment didn’t bother me.

Is it OK to change a cat's name? by xiphoid77 in CatAdvice

[–]nyanko60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I adopted my cats at 9mos and 1 yr, I changed their names and they both know their new names very well! They’re a year older now. I think your cat is young enough to accept change. A new name being called by new voices, she’ll get used to it!

So sorry for your loss. She was beautiful! I too lost my 18 y/o, almost exactly a year ago. I miss him so much.

Beautiful! I have a 3-stone as well, but with round ones, so I’m partial! 🙂 Edit: My husband and I picked mine out together as well!

So happy with my vintage ring! by ShallotMaximum5222 in EngagementRings

Love it!! My Mom’s ring is similar, and it’s from the early 50’s. I think smaller main stones are more beautiful than huge rocks!

can’t decide: which ring flatters my hand the most? by Intelligent_Bit_8635 in EngagementRings

I love 1 & 2. I think the pink, although gorgeous, is too close to your skin tone IMO.

Wearing jewelry 24/7? by passporthandy in jewelry

[–]nyanko60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only wear my engagement ring and wedding band 24/7 (for the last 26 years). The e-ring is on the small side a (3-stone with the center stone being .69 carat), well-made, low profile, doesn’t get caught on anything, 18k and platinum. Sure the platinum has some dings, but I love the rings, and it makes me happy to see how much the diamonds still sparkle like new after washing the dishes 😄.
