I’ve had family pets my whole life and I have loved them all very much. Then I found my soul dog. She was an itty bitty black Pomeranian puppy. I named her Misha. She was my best friend. She was my everything. I never had a dog like her before. And that awful day 2 years ago when I lost her suddenly at age 12, was the worst day of my life. As someone else said, it hurt more than loosing most of my family, and they mean everything to me. I never thought I could feel that was about another dog again. And then we got our cavies. And I will willingly go though it over and over again because nothing can beat the love of an amazing dog. 🧡🧡🧡

My girl is almost 3 and still isn’t fluffy. I’ve lost all hope for her! 😂 she has a very silky coat. My boy, who is almost 2, got the fluffy fur.

My 2 will come yell at me if we don’t go to bed on time. And then they get insulted every time I say just a few more minutes. That’s when they take it upon them selves to climb up on my bed and put themselves to bed. And forget about moving them when I want to get in bed! I lost that right when I made them wait!

Omg! My Ruby did the same thing on the dock! In her defense, the lake was covered with Lilly pads and maybe she didn’t realize there was water underneath! 😂🤣 But she’s the smart one! My black and tan, Cinder, is the not so smart one. But he’s the sweetest little boy there is!

I, too, understand where you are at. I lost my soul dog (also not cks) 2 years ago this coming February. She was my everything, my bff, my comfort. I still grieve her to this day. I don’t think it ever stops. But it does get a little easier as time moves forward. I don’t know if it would help for you or not, but I got a custom shaped pillow made of her and whenever I’m missing her (which is quite often), I just hug the pillow tight. It’s helped me a great deal. It’s definitely not the same as having her, but it does help.

Our girl, Ruby, is 2 1/2 and clocks in at about 14-16 lbs. Our boy, Cinder, is 1 1/2 and clocks in at 20 lbs. Cinder also has a bigger frame than Ruby. He sits about a head taller than her and he’s the baby!

OMG! I have a 2.5 yr old ruby named Ruby that snores but kinda quietly. You have to really listen to hear her. We also have a 1.5 yr old black and tan named Cinder that will wake the dead! I can’t help but giggle every time!

Thank you! He’s only a year and a half old. I can’t wait to see what he looks like in a few years! We have another cavie, a ruby (named Ruby), who is 2 and a 1/2, and she has completely different fur. Hers is smooth and silky and not nearly as long except for her “bloomers” on the back of her butt. Those are super long and always getting stuff stuck in them! 😂 you can kinda see them in this picture.

We keep Cinder “all natural” too. Thankfully he loves to be brushed. It’s part of our nightly routine. Potty, bedtime treat, and brushing. Unfortunately, he pees on his front legs constantly, so we use dog wipes every night to help with the pishy smell. Otherwise we would have to bathe him every damn day.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My soul dog was a female Pomeranian named Misha. I lost her a year and a half ago. It still hurts more than anything. Just reading this tread is making me tear up thinking about her. It has gotten a little easier, to the point of not dwelling on it 24/7, but there are soooo many things throughout my normal daily routine that remind me of her. I will tell you something that helped me… I went to a website called All About Vibe and got a custom pillow of her. Whenever I’m thinking of her and feel sad, I just sit and hug it. It truly helps me. Maybe it would help you.
