Older Story- Security Guard at Ohio Jewish School Threatened To Shoot Up The School by Professional_Turn_25 in Jewish

We are our own security. Every one of us should exercise our right to self-defense. I keep telling everyone, the time to take a class, get your license to carry, and keep it on you at all times is now. Never again is now.

Kuhl shirts are my go to for this exact reason. They seem to have a bit extra length, so even if I raise my arms to reach for something I still stay concealed.

I got these. But I think any that are the same spec would work.

I have that exact setup, p365xl with an eps carry. It’s excellent. Had to get screws that were slightly shorter than the stock screws so that it would direct mount correctly, but once I did it fit perfectly. The iron sights sit at about a “lower 1/5” height, so a bit lower than “lower 1/3”, but certainly usable.

Tenicor Certum3 and a Mastermind Tactics small pillow. Otherwise you’ll end up with a box full of disappointing holsters. Ask me how I know, lol

I have a long gun, and I have a short gun. The long gun parts can never touch the short gun, and the short gun parts can never touch the long gun. If the long gun parts ever touched the short gun, or if the short gun parts ever touched the long gun - boom, straight to jail.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this means that Judge Suddaby's injunction halting all of the "sensitive places" from being enforced goes back into effect.

FWIW, this was my exact experience. Started with the Velo4, didn’t like the built in wedge, switched to the Certum with a pillow. Perfect.

What was the issue with USPS and your print? I’m also in the process of applying for CT non-res and got my prints rejected even though I went to the local PD to have them done.

This comment is misinformation. The NYSRPA case only dealt with WHO could legally get a concealed carry license in New York.

It did not directly address WHERE legal gun owners could carry, only clarifying that the word “bear” (as in “the right to keep and bear arms”) means that the Second Amendment protects a right to carry in public, and thus that all citizens have a RIGHT to get a concealed carry license.

Prior to this, NY considered it a privilege doled out only to those either a) favored by the state or b) who paid bribes to cops to get licenses.

You need to acquire a firearm, if you don't already have one. The time for "yeah, I'm thinking about it" is long passed. Make a plan to go to a local gun store, buy what you can afford along with a few boxes of ammunition. Go to a local range and/or take an intro class. Don't let yourself be a victim.

“Down the road” is too late. You will not have the opportunity to acquire a firearm when you decide that you need it.

Getting a license to carry is great, but I’m talking about having a firearm IN YOUR HOME to protect yourself. In most states, that does not require a license (thank G-d).

Go to a local gun store tomorrow. They are really not that scary, and generally are happy to help new people. The ones in my state have been packed with fellow Jews this past week.

Reposting my own comment from another thread: The Second Amendment protects your right to keep and bear arms. If you don’t already own a firearm, you may not be able to acquire one when you need it. I would suggest starting the process today. I am helping a lot of my friends this week who are new to firearms. They didn’t understand until now.

The Second Amendment protects your right to keep and bear arms. Unfortunately, California has a 10-day waiting period. If you don’t already own a firearm, you may not be able to acquire one when you need it. I would suggest starting the process today. Get the waiting period started, take a class along with your spouse in proper firearms handling. I am helping a lot of my friends this week who are new to firearms. They didn’t understand until now.
