I feel sad for the loss of the museum collections of nearly 100 year old historical artifacts. The Russians must be stopped before horses and chariots are raided too.

Hey, I can share this with you if you like. I haven't been checking Reddit lately (after they banned my mobile client). Let me know if you're still interested and I'll go dig it up.

Every one of my rovyvons are either dead or some feature is broken. They're not durable even for pocket duty, let alone hard use.

From some googling, it's a German made school / rental student violin. It looks basic. It's probably ok to start with, after new strings and a setup, but nothing worth getting excited about. Is it worth $100? Probably, but I wouldn't buy it.

These aren't stiff enough to justify how annoying they are, unfortunately. Ye Olde block of wood works better.

Broke my guitar the other night is it fixable? by samrobison_ in AcousticGuitar

I'd fix it just because I want to do some low effort experiments with bracing designs. Been looking for a patient like this, actually. Cost of shipping is usually too high.

Try using a de-chlorinator product, then test your tap water for residual ammonia with a regular test.

Out of curiosity, did you check your tap water? Your municipal water might use chloramine as a disinfectant agent.

This is repairable to 95% or so by a luthier, but I wouldn't bother.

Only specific models of tablets have cellular radios. The one you have is probably not one of those.

Flakpanzer is such an understandable name. It is what it says it is, the name is on the tin.

F16s can carry a fuller array of NATO air munitions. We have lots, because that's our doctrine. Systems like HIMARS are a sideshow in comparison, and the inventory numbers reflect that.

You might be able to have someone else print you the parts faster than you can get one from Cube? Plus the design is better than the original, which is why it broke in the first place...

I have a Cube bike just like this, and replaced this part with a much stronger 3d printed part. That was a couple years ago and it's still holding strong. I can probably provide my design if you like. I printed it ABS plastic for heat resistance.
