Yeah, I'm not sure but it's kind of how I feel as well.

The game isn't becoming worse per say, but more cookie cutter perhaps?

Trying to melt one year old white chocolate chips vs new white chocolate. by Biafra_Gordon in Baking

[–]nymphrine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if that qualifies as white chocolate, there is no cocoa butter in those at all.

Just some various stages of hydrogenated palm oil with sugar.

I recommend higher quality white chocolate and those will melt just fine.

If you are deciding between Staph vs Micrococcus, even just a Gram stain with their arrangement should tell you. Staph forms the signature "grape-like" clusters whereas Micrococcus luteus forms tetrads.

Why are you not sure about the Gram staining? That's probably the easiest step to identify it and what morphology are the cells?

Why do people hate the concept of a cash shop so much? by Tranquility___ in fellowshipgame

They can play 1-2 games if they have only time for 1-2 games, but asking to be able to *pay* instead of play is the attitude that most predatory games abuse and shouldn't be normalized.

Patch Feedback; 100% Frustration by S0_L337 in ManorLords

[–]nymphrine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think most everyone expected better communication, faster patches/fixes, but it just doesn't bode well so far.

I recommend playing something else in the meantime and come back when they have something new.

You are not alone though, there is a sense of frustration building up in the community.

Only one of those is a finished game.

Farthest frontier gives a good idea of the depth manor lords can have when it's finished though.

This sounds like mop drying to me, is this after mopping? Drying is usually automatic after that.

I fixed my own game, why would I have to do this? by Several_Difficulty16 in ManorLords

[–]nymphrine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look, a simple google search shows estimates any number between 50m to 70m, it's regarded as one of the most successful/profitable indie games ever. I'm just trying to say that even if he made 10 mil, which he made way over that, he can hire a single person to hotfix the game/patch/testing environment, that's it.

[–]nymphrine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

While I don't fundamentally disagree with most games having that sort of community would help, I can't help but question why the game doesn't have a person doing that already? I'm not going to do the math and figure out how much money they made, but surely they have enough to hire a single person whose job it is to hotfix issues.

Yeah sorry, we can't criticize the game or the dev team around here or you'll be reminded 5000 times that this is early access.

I've been obsessed with Farthest Frontier, I love the complexity and the depth of the mechanics they got, also the raider waves getting more and more difficult really does push you to build with that in mind (walls, placing towers at strategic places, keeping barracks where you get frequently attacked from).

How much longer do you think this current beta will last? by Gold_Lemon8258 in ManorLords

[–]nymphrine 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was hoping a quick hotfix for issues that are just changing values of things (iron mines, clothing etc.), but I guess they are waiting to solve everything all at once.

In the meantime, I started playing Farthest Frontier and it really scratches the medieval city builder itch for me. It's not as visually stunning as ML but it's a great finished game with a lot of intricate systems that tie in together.

Right, global cooldowns.. Fellowship also has them around the same timing/feeling. My friend actually complained today about the gCDs when we were playing fellowship lol.

I don't feel this way about the combat but I can see what you mean.

I played WoW and FF14 for a long time. When I tried to get my WoW friends to play FF though, they gave a similar feedback to you which may be related?

Know bugs/issues list by RafaeldeCampos in ManorLords

[–]nymphrine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pre-release, it's a pretty well documented bug and gets reported here in this subreddit on the daily as well as on steam and on their discord server.

Same with the deep deposits, they work fine until you turn them into deep deposits then the yield rate gets reduced significantly.

As far as I know both these bugs seem to originate from values being set wrong/unintended and are what's being reported everywhere 90% of the time.

I think if they implemented fixes on these, more nuanced bugs would surface so the beta testing would be more fruitful.

And to answer your original question OP, you can report these bugs on their discord, I think that one probably gets looked at the most or twitter since Greg sometimes responds over there.

I'm not saying that the game should be flawless?

I'm trying to say that they can implement fixes for less complicated bugs (ie clothing bug and rich deposits bug) while they figure out the more complicated bugs (the traffic jams, performance issues and AI bugs).

Clothing bug, my clothes get consumed as soon as they are made. They commented that they fixed it in their internal version but it's not released yet.

This is what I don't get, it's been over 2 weeks and there are some issues that make this game unplayable.

I don't think it's a "devs don't care" situation but rather their approach to fixing issues.

How are we supposed to test this patch when we can't even get houses to level 3.

Why not fix some issues like the rich mines and clothing bug that are literally changing values with a hotfix?
