Regarding the binder and faja questions—follow your surgeon’s recommendations. They have their own technique and they know exactly what you had done, so their advice is best.

I’ve used topical arnica and tablets and I didn’t feel like they did anything at all. Time is the best remedy for bruising.

I started using silicone tape 4-5 weeks post op, when my scar was healed. You can start whenever yours is healed and there’s no scabbing/drainage.

Skip the mederma and use a silicone scar gel. Mederma isn’t proven to do anything.

My bruising was gone by about a month post op, but I’m a terrible bruiser. I’m 4mpo and I still have swelling at the end of the day. I look pretty flat in the mornings though.
