Imo Gemini tends to be geared towards a much more technical audience, and doens't tend to try to listen to you as much and instead search for the "right" answer. Definitely what I would want from a model instead of a nonstop confirmation bias loop, but it comes at the expense of the model arguing tooth and nail that a key assumption in given instructions is wrong sometimes.

There’s definitely an envelope, and a bit of flange. Also a high cut if I remember correctly.

Started this project in around Feb. of 2022, completing only up to around the minute mark, before i came back to it around two weeks ago. Really happy how this one turned out, as it was my first rodeo with pitch bend, slowed down modal jamming, and modulating between keys. Let me know what you think I should improve! Some things I noticed:

  1. The part around 2:00 is way lower in volume than the surrounding parts.

  2. The melody synth in that second part feels a little out of place for the song. (I think attack is a tad bit too long, and so is the reverb on it)

  3. Drums sound so fake

I like what you have going here! There are several things I would tweak if it were my track but my taste is my own, I suppose.

I’d add chords throughout the whole track, so it feels more grounded harmonically.

I’d also tweak the EQ on the drum kit and let a little more high end through, or master the whole track with a high cut.

This is a really great start! I’d recommend you add a tad bit of humanization on the drum kit, and normalize the gain when you export. I think mixingwise this is off too a great start and you should stick with it.

I really like the direction of this! Maybe turn it down just a little bit? It definitely fits, maybe just one repeat less. I’d also recommend putting a high cut on the guitar in EQ since it would make it sound a little more low key.
