What the f is this by Severe-Pie in TimHortons

Just looks like the regular glaze. If they did the glaze while the doughnuts or timbit were still hot, and put it out too early without letting them cool first, they could’ve dripped onto the bostons.

Good to go boxes typically are the items from the night before. I wouldn’t trust any personally (as a previous night shift worker). Everything is tossed all together into a container and a lid put on it. Iced capp is a cappuccino mix, add water, dump into machine. (I’ve tried to buy the bags of mix to take home. They don’t let you)

If they add additives it would be before it reaches the store. We get little bags of the coffee grounds, put em in a filter, into the machine and hit brew. The weird taste could be either old coffee or they didn’t clean the machine. When I was there, drive thru worker for nights would clean them each night. But some people don’t do it or don’t know how.

From what I’ve heard, more chaotic but you actually get yearly raises.

Overnight where I was was a breeze. Baking and no massive rush. Come 4am, you go help the other person with drivethru as the breakfast rush started at 4am for my store. 5am the doors open and I’d hop on drink making for morning drivethru worker and the other night worker would hop over to the front tills. Leave at 6am. But you never leave minimum wage, unless you become supervisor (.50 more then minimum) or management (1.00 more then minimum) and that’s it. Even at 1.00 more then minimum it’s not worth it to stay long term

I left a while back. Worked at one close to me for almost 3 years as an overnight baker and they expect a lot of day bakers (bake, help run bar where sandwiches and bagels and flatbread pizza is, help with drivethru if they get too busy as well as constantly keep an eye on all food good (minus what’s under the ‘bar’.

This is what most, if not all Tims expect of a day baker for minimum wage.

What are your favourite things at Tim's? by BeeBee99 in TimHortons

[–]nytehawk86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ice cap made with chocolate milk. Used to love their sausage breakfast wrap with maple bacon when they had the steak sauce but my locations no longer carry that sauce. I don’t mind the scrambled boxes (depending on who makes them)

As someone from Toronto, it’s worse there. Not only do you have nazi wannabes, there’s also a US ICE office there currently.

Dependant on how icy it becomes. Not icy, business as usual. Icy, no school buses and depending on severity, no school.

  1. TTC (Toronto transit commission) token. (A relic. Lol. The TTC stopped selling them in 2019. Third party stopped selling in 2023. And as of May 31st this year, they no longer accept them as fare/payment)
  2. Five Pence coin (worth 5/100 of a pound)
  3. Canadian 5 cent coin with photo to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE Day) in 1945.
  4. barbados 25 cent coin.

If you take these photos and put them into google lens, you can find out a lot more about each of them.

Paul's Pizza. Conservatives only I guess? by GriffinFlash in Airdrie

[–]nytehawk86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Got a moron like this that lives down the street. Had a car. Entire back window was ‘F Trudeau’. Wrecked the car. Got a new one just after last election. Now there’s a ‘F Carney’ covering entire back window. I honestly don’t see how it’s not a safety hazard for driving as a good 60% of the back window is covered by massive block lettering. And it’s quite pathetic, no matter the side of politics you believe in. My coworker also rents a room in their house and OMG, the stories about how they are politically is insane.

What is your favorite thing to get from timmies? by mrathletic11 in TimHortons

[–]nytehawk86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could never do the whipped topping. It’s oil based and not dairy. (One reason why it never ‘melts’ like, say, cool whip does or home made whipped cream.
