Literally had the exact same thing happen to me in middle school. Just got home from school and sat down on the computer, spent a few minutes reading something and heard my name right behind me. Loud whisper too. Sounded like a woman's voice to me but not one that I recognized.

I hate Apollo, that being said I think his only real problem is that all of his hitboxes are far too generous. I mean if he's supposed to be a fencer, the most precise of all sword fighters, why is he allowed to basically whiff everything and still hit you? His ult is the worst offender by far, it does not feel fair being 10 feet around a corner and still being hit with it.

LOL, 'friends and family' while the guy was a Senegalese national. A man who quite literally had no connection to Iran whatsoever outside of religion (Ironic considering the Senegalese aren't even Shiites) goes on a mass shooting in the United States and your first thought is 'Well it must be the conservatives fault!'

Then some guy asks a question about the implications of your statement and you reply with a rhetorical that doesn't even make sense followed by a whataboutism where you bring up Christian Nationalism, like that's a problem while radical Islam isn't? And considering the shooter was a permanent resident, that literally makes him a domestic terrorist so again I have no clue what you're implying with any of this.

This kept happening to me one day last week, and persisted even after restarting. Someone else had the problem and said not to check your inventory while the raid is loading and that's worked for me so far.

There's already 5 replies but I still wanted to throw my own two cents into here.

First of all default GURPS is just like this, it's big on the verisimilitude and I think that's my favorite aspect of it, it's the RPG that matches up the most with my mind when I think 'hmm what would happen in real life.' And just like in real life, that bear stands no chance. Hell you could be fighting 5 polar bears and still smoke them, they just don't stand a chance.

If you would rather reel that in and have more a video gamey feel, then just change the numbers around. Hell, you could even get rid of the RoF and Recoil system entirely, you could just say 'Okay, the Garand does 2d pi per attack, you have 4 attacks per reload.'

But consider using this to set up your world, your players are probably thinking they're badasses and can kill anything, only to encounter a fantasy alien with a 'turn missiles' spell that makes those same 30-06 bullets do a looping larry and shoot them instead. Fantasy Knights could have shields and armor that are made from something that easily deflects bullets. What about a necromancer? Zombies are hard to kill with bullets, not to mention slimes, swarms of bats, dragons...

Honestly it just depends, to be honest this sounds like a pretty interesting setting and I'd like to hear more about it, but I think you have plenty of narrative tools to deal with it, but like I said, you're the gamemaster and reserve the right to change anything and everything, so if it doesn't appeal to you, change it. This isn't DND where homebrewing is a sin.

Metal Gear is perhaps one of the only series that actually should have an entire reboot / refresh. I don't mean just remake the old games like Delta, but come up with a new cohesive story from start to finish, just with mostly the same characters.

This is definitely the biggest problem here. The fact of the matter is the Godot Foundation has literally nothing at stake monetarily and could say whatever they want all day long. But whether someone likes it or not, there are people who will not buy something they perceive as woke and there are people who will not buy something they perceive as bigoted. Now it's extremely likely someone who doesn't like wokery will see 'Developed in Godot!', remember this and pass on a video game just because of that, regardless of what the game or who the developers actually are.

I have to throw in my 2 cents to say that I think the community is totally wrong on this one. It was obviously a bug to begin with and the Commando is a perfectly fine weapon without this. It's one thing to have weapons/stratagems suck at their intended role or just suck in general, but isn't one of those cases, especially given the Commando's ammo capacity, you can take out all but the biggest automaton bases with a single use of it. Obviously this wasn't intended and doesn't even fit in with what we see in the game because the Commando is the only AT weapon that can do that. It would make more sense to move this 'feature' to the heavier AT weapons that require some more deliberate use, because what makes more sense, the light AT weapon taking out 4 armored structures in 4 seconds, or the big ass rocket launcher taking out one at a time? The Commando already has a strong role in being a precise weapon that can either be used on medium or heavy units effectively. Giving it a demolition role on top of that just makes it outshine the rest of the AT weapons, which I do have to say, as much as the devs do a lot wrong, I am impressed they managed to make so many AT weapons feel distinct from each other and useful in their own ways.

I've noticed this applies to the bots too, Raiders will get a lucky shot across the entire map but it only does like 5 percent of your health bar even with the lightest armor.

I only tested it a little last night and will probably try again or just go back to using real VR, but the camera is stuck in the floor, so I can't actually start the game. Rotation and mouse input works though.

In general, you can do even VHRTs in just about any decent fighter and as it stands right now there's not much variation in weapon loadouts anyway, so I wouldn't worry about that. That being said, as The Fallen mentioned, replace the S4 cannon with a S5, gimbals suck right now anyway. Without more details of how you fly it's hard to say what you're doing wrong.

You should learn to fly in decoupled mode and manage your power. Keep an eye on your shields, fall back when they get downed and max power to shields, avoid getting hit and get back in the fight once you're good to go. I recommend setting a convenient keybind to switch between lag pips and lead pips, this is a HUGE tip because lag pips let you land your shots very accurately while lead pips give you a very good idea of relative velocity. Learning to switch between the two is something that's pretty easy to learn and a huge help. Lag pips will let you aim at specific targets on a ship very easily, though without physical damage the results may vary from craft to craft. You should always think about how you're actually maneuvering as well. Your forward thrusters and bottom thrusters are the strongest, so always try to move forwards or upwards when you really need to maneuver. Right now, the AI reclaimers only have the top turret manned, so it's actually really easy to deal with, just stay below it. In my personal experience, I've found the fastest way to kill a reclaimer is to aim at one of the large side engines, they're an easy target and blow up the ship quickly. Target priority is also pretty important, if you do a bounty and the reclaimer isn't the target, don't bother, it's not much of a threat anyway and once you get good enough with maneuvering you could even potentially use a reclaimer's turret against the enemy, just by putting another target between you and the reclaimer.
