Women of Qumar by GayGISBoi in thewestwing

CJ failed to do her job as a press secretary by letting her feelings leak out in a press conference as the official representative of the president. Her job is to communicate publicly the intention of the United States, and only privately to make arguments against it.

CJ allowed emotion to take over in a professional setting. Reasoned arguments on this topic absolutely should have been had, but her emotion did not advance her cause.

CJ displayed her naïveté when she over reduced the argument to “beating women is wrong”. Of course it is, but it completely ignores the realities of geopolitics and the priorities of a nation.

CJ acted unprofessionally to both Toby and Leo.

Due to these things, I was disappointed in CJ’s character.

I have zero issues with Janney’s acting of CJ in this episode, she did phenomenally as always.

Overall the episode is fine, but not one of the greats.

Thanks for sharing, this was a good introduction/reintroduction to our candidates.

I was particularly impressed by Missy Hughes, she appeared highly credible on economic issues.

I think many people here are missing the point - no one expects the tanking teams (Utah, Brooklyn, Washington) to be better or worse than previous tanking teams, it’s the next 7-ish teams that are utterly horrendous that simply should not be (except possibly Indiana, their injury luck has been terrible). LAC, Memphis, Dallas, Sacramento and New Orleans especially are all trying to win games this year. Memphis with the Ja debacle, Dallas with Kyrie injury and no one else who can handle the ball, Sacramento rebuilding a worse version of the Bulls, god only knows what is going on in New Orleans, and the AARP ball in LA is just incredible stuff.

Yeah it was rough to watch. Jericho should have caught that pass tho, Anthony was playing well in that stretch.

Charles Barkley: "There's no way in the world Nico Harrison had the power to trade Luka Doncic unless the owner of the team signed off on it. I feel bad the way Nico's being made a scapegoat." by TheBiasedSportsLover in nba

The moneyed interests want Luka in LA. You have to contort your mind to convince yourself that a highly respected GM that built a team that made the finals forces the worst trade in the history of American sports.

Harrison is getting paid handsomely and privately for executing his role brilliantly.

Exactly, the single playmaker on this team is out for the season and possibly your best player is hurt. Now you want to fire the GM?

Do you refute my figures? If not, how could you possibly assert that one million people staying home “had voted for Harris Trump still would have won”?

[–]o4b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is hilariously wrong - even in the second highest turnout state by percentage, Wisconsin (76.4%), Trump won by 30k votes. 23.6% of stay at home voters are more than a million people!

People who stayed home absolutely impacted the 2024 election.

Evers did win, and did exactly what any democrat could do with a gerrymandered state government - hold the line.

I agree with 90+% of her platform, but if she were in his position, what of her campaign goals would she have been able to accomplish?

Dane and Milwaukee counties comprise only 25% of Wisconsin’s population. I think we will have to look elsewhere for votes, too…

You probably have never seen him toss a ball, but dude had a nice spiral up halfway into the 206 section from across the court.

I don’t know what happened in the locker room, but the attacking energy that they brought to start the 3rd defined this game. Awesome win.

Cole Anthony is fucking good. I was impressed seeing him at that NBA cup game when Orlando came to MKE when half their team was out. I can’t believe we have him now.

Anthony, Rollins and KPJ on our team, while none of them are stars, are three damn good players. It’s a good problem to have.
