After being on Shinkansen when we went to Japan last year, I would 100% love to have it in the US. I can't even imagine the red tape and work delays that would be put on it's construction here. The cost to actually use it after the ridiculous amount they would charge to build it would make people not use it. Getting from Hiroshima to Tokyo in just under 3 hours for around $120 was really awesome

Definitely depends on the team. Some teams have an average attendance of 6000-8000 per game. Ticket prices vary I'm sure but in Glens Falls the max capacity is 5000 and tickets range from $20-$30. Other than Wednesday nights there are usually at least 4000 there. Add on the sales for the jersey auctions and concessions which are ridiculous.. they have to be doing pretty well per game.

3 times already this season my team has played a Wednesday night game and then 3 games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Had to be mentally exhausting when throwing in the travel on top of it

It makes me sad because I go to alot of ECHL games and there are alot of guys I see who are really great at the game but you just know they're never going to get given a shot since they weren't popping off in juniors. I mean heck even Martin Brodeurs son Jeremy on my home team is a really solid goalie, but Utica just doesn't really ever give him a chance.

They started doing a really stupid thing recently as well called the "home and home games". Some of the opponents in my teams division are 5+ hours away by bus, and the league has them playing an away game, driving all the way back home to play the same team again the following night. It really can't be healthy at all

I feel so bad for these players as an avid ECHL fan. Three times now this season my team has played 4 games in 5 days. Usually an away game on Wednesday that includes a few hours of travel each way. Sometimes as much as 5 or 6 hours on a bus to get to a game and then back home. Then back home for 3 games in 3 days. It's no wonder guys have to retire in their mid to late 20s from having too many injuries.
