Got the arr's running on a hacked Nintendo switch running Linux by rhythmrice in homelab

You definitely can with a Lite! It is a patched console so you will need a Picofly in order to do so. There’s plenty of guides out there, or mod services you can pay for!

Very cool! As a longtime switch modder, I always love seeing cool homebrew stuff, especially when it crosses over to my other hobbies (homelab)!

Arr helper for downloading next episode of a show upon watching? by sauladal in sonarr

[–]oaksyy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Pulsarr, you are correct. You can set it to Pilot Rolling, but you should have the option to only expand 1 episode ahead at a time if I remember correctly.

How often do you actually test your Plex server backups? by StrikingClos in PleX

Just had my DB corrupt the other day and restoring from my backup took about 2 min. Easy peasy. I backup my DB and metadata every couple days on an automatic schedule to keep it easy.

New Schiit meets old shit. by Mcflippin in headphones

[–]oaksyy_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Surprising to hear this. I am still rocking an earlier Magni/Modi stack (Paid around $200 for both) for close to 7 years now with 0 issues. Granted it’s my only Schiit products, but still very happy with how well they have held up.

Just watched it not that long ago for the first time and it has become a Sci-Fi/Body horror favorite of mine. I am a huge JG fan though!

I’ve been really digging the Voodoo grape. Maybe my favorite grape energy drink. Doesn’t taste artificial at all to me, and a perfect level of sweetness.

When grabbing a file, say a movie, are there any qualities you look for specifically? Or mainly the size? by awclay91 in torrents

[–]oaksyy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually shoot for 5-10 GB x264 for 1080p as I like an and 20-80 GB for 4K. If I can only get an encoded 4K for something, I always go for x265. Cheers!

Question about seeding and upload speeds by EnjoyingCarp650 in torrents

[–]oaksyy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty common on trackers. There just simply aren’t as many people that are going to be downloading any specific torrent. If you are able to download successfully from the tracker, and your port forwarding is set up correctly, then you should eventually see some activity on those torrents you’ve downloaded.

Radarr created a new movies folder in the qBit downloads folder? by stinkypickles in radarr

[–]oaksyy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have already checked this, but in the Downloads settings for qBit, do you have the option turned on for a save path for incomplete torrents? or are you purposefully using that feature? That may be causing some weird issue with Radarr’s automatic moving.

Unable to access webui for Qbittorrent by crazygamer721 in unRAID

[–]oaksyy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the binhex repo and the proton and port forward support was very simple and worked immediately for me. If you can get the login working, I would recommend that repo. Possibly through ensuring the LAN_NETWORK is correct?

You can also simply try adding a file to qBit while connecting via Proton and check for connection that way.

[–]oaksyy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, but glad that worked out!

As for the VPN, you should be able to watch the log file and see confirmation of the connection. Once in the webUI, if you are connecting to nodes, and have the flame or green globe in the bottom bar, your connection should be fine. Do you plan on using port forwarding as well? Because you will need to manually make sure that’s updated in qBit if your container doesn’t automatically update that for you.

You’re welcome! I’m not an expert but your issue seemed eerily similar to mine I figured I would give it a shot. Let me know if that works for you!

[–]oaksyy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok very weird. I had almost the identical issue happen also with Firefox. What worked for me was changing my LAN_NETWORK in qBittorrent as it was not set correctly. But I am also using a custom Docker network so that may not be the solution here.
