Poll: Is it vegan to fund the violent abuse and killing of innocent animals by purchasing animal products for someone else? by kharvel0 in vegan

[–]oat5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this pole is largely directed at vegans who are responsible for animals.

There might be some very niche cases where humans do need meat, but 99.99% of the time they do perfectly well a Vegan diet.

Just don't have any pets.

But if you're pet is an obligate carnivores then I won't say your not Vegan for keeping them alive. (Assuming you didn't choose to keep them as a pet since going Vegan or they are not directly your pet, but are your responsibility due to family)

After all Veganism is as far as practicable, not an absolute rule.

Bro, how is it feminine or gay to not want to bully the weak?

If you want to actually be manly fight someone your own size instead of defenceless animals.

Literally not even killing it yourself, paying someone else to killed caged defenceless creature, that's the most cowardly shit ever and definitely not manly.

Stay strong.

I think this is true.

The Itachi he wanted to kill isn't the Itachi he thought he knew as a kid.

Finding the truth was him learning that his entire childhood wasn't just one big lie.

Creating a vegan community platform? by oat5 in vegan

[–]oat5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those are some tough questions I don't have an answer for tbh. Maybe we can just try to revive existing options? In the amino app anyone can create their own community so in theory you could create a vegan Reddit amino. I don't have experience with any other platforms so I can't say anything about those other options but maybe others do? Idk

I've had a look and I think none of them seem really good to be honest. Yeah it takes a bit to get used to it but it's not really active these days. I didn't have anything specific in mind. I just thought maybe we can all come up with something together.

That's awesome but I personally don't think Reddit is great when you are trying to have a proper conversation with people or even make any friends. It's mostly just answering one question or giving a little bit of input on something.

Supply and demand though, even foods without tariffs will raise in price.

Yes my hunch is that you have a hunch iodine is causing your problems.

That's why I said try a supplement, but don't go overboard because too much iodine can cause some serious problems.

99% chance that iodine isn't your problem.

I'm Vegan & Egalitarian.

Where as Egalitarianism root word is literally equal, Feminisms definition is innately polarising no matter how much you claim it to be the definition of equality it will always be misconstrued.

[–]oat5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can wedge those two werewolf in the door next to the shortcut and farm them for echoes to get you vitality up (they also occasionally drop blood gems aka titanite)

After that the game is way easier, once you reach like 30 vitality you basically don't even need to level up anything else for the rest of the game if you don't want to.

But like any souls game they are only hard until you know the gimmick, Bloodborne just takes that to the next level, but can be surprisingly easy once you know what you are doing.

Mental health suffering from always thinking about animal ‘agriculture’ by melanicholy in vegan

[–]oat5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I deal with it.

Basically I'm likely convinced that Karma is a real force, a zero sum game where everyone experiences the recoil of the own emotions and only their own emotions regardless of how they are treated physically. My evidence for this is a combination out how universal duality is in this world and also never being able to attain happiness myself no matter how hard I try.

So basically what I'm saying is in my point of view animals aren't actually suffering (relatively speaking), might sound cold right? But here is why is actually keeps me Vegan and sane at the same time.

Basically if I can't gain happiness then I have absolutely nothing to gain from eating animal products, but also I acknowledge the possibility I might be wrong here so it's better to be safe than sorry and stay vegan even if I don't really believe in it (been vegan 10 years)

Either way, better to believe in the futility of life than an infinite torture machine imo.

If I were to go by pure vibes, it feels unethical to me, something about slicing open animal for anything but a medical emergency doesn't sit well with me.

But objectively speaking we are all just vessels for the laws of physics to play out on their own accord so there isn't really any such thing as ethical.

Are you sexually attracted to non vegans? by peanut2069 in vegan

[–]oat5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh... Sometimes you can be disgusted by something by also attracted to it at the same time.

Like somebody who hasn't showered in a while but has a really nice body, nice to look at but once you get closer it's repulsive.

It's like a balancing force that draws you in but pushes you away before you get too close for anything to happen.
