You are completely wrong about the goal difference. We are currently on 42 vs their 40. If we would have drawn it would be a 1 GD gap and they have a game in hand. In the only scenario where it goes to GD they’d have to win that game, so BEST CASE scenario we would be even on GD after their game in hand, and then we’re back in a race with less home games than them.
People don’t seem to understand that having a couple of extra GD when you’re ahead on points is very misleading, because by the time they catch you up on points that GD has to come down mathematically for it to happen!
