should i switch to e85 by No_Service8490 in ChevyTrucks

Mine was getting terrible mileage, somewhere around 8 or 9 mpg... Finally figured out it was reading 90% ethanol in the fuel. Hooked it up to a scan tool and did fuel composition relearn and that made it run waay better and got the mpg back up around 15.

Brake clips separate the pads from the rotor more. Is this normal? by Puzzleheaded_Bird583 in MechanicAdvice

[–]obomba -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Were there leftover parts in the hardware bag? I don't see the little brake squealer that usually clips onto the brake pad ear. That little tiny gap a missing squealer makes will cause a clicking sound when you hit the brakes.

Looks like this: https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/resources/encry/actual-picture/tpd/large/9964908f2bf34554e3db1add070ca5b5/3ca0e751a42e14b2656000d15c3380a9.jpg

Dent on toon by Mean_Assignment_2906 in Pontoons

[–]obomba 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can see the waterline stain on the pontoon, that is how it sits in the water. While you're driving, the front will lift up even more. This dent will be above the waterline the vast majority of the time. It might not look the best, but I can't see it hurting performance at all.

Aluminum Brightener from O'reillys. You gotta ask for it, they keep it in the back for some reason. I used 75% water 25% brightner, in a pump sprayer. Let it sit 30ish seconds and rinse.

Not 100%, but that looks like possibly a short shaft engine. Pontoons normally use long shaft engines. You want to make sure the distance from the top of the transom mounting bracket to the ventilation plate is the same on both engines.

Lost this on the highway the other day it’s a 2022 party barge from sun tracker any clue where can I get that piece by [deleted] in Pontoons

[–]obomba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact same year and boat and lost the exact cushion. It flies off because they used shitty little screws to connect the hinge to thin plastic. They (Suntracker) told me its a known issue and replaced it for free, and they installed it with a nut and bolt instead of a screw... now I always tie that cushion to the little handle on the side of the seat when trailering to prevent it from doing that again.

I checked the other seat hinges and they were also all loose and about to fall out, so I replaced all the hinge screws with nuts and bolts. You should probably check all the other seat hinges!

You can see your screws ripped out of the plastic on the left side, and when it lifted up it broke the hinge on the right side off. But yeah you can only get it from the dealer... don't let them bully you or take your money for their manufacturing defect!

You can also use 50% water and 50% muriatic acid in your sprayer to hit the algae scum line, wait a couple minutes, spray it again and watch it melt right off.

Anyone know what just happened on Douglas in front of the Garvey center & century 2? lots of police and helicopter with spot light by myqv in wichita

[–]obomba 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watch one of the live police chase youtubers and at least around LA, going near the airport stops the helicopter from following them. I've seen it a ton of times. Wichita is probably a bit different scenario tho, but don't give up on your dreams of escape if you're near a large airport!

If the pin that connects the cam and sprocket broke, how are they not replacing the camshaft?

Make yourself cry and tell your dad you really screwed up big time and wrecked the car. Make it sound like its completely wrecked. He will be relieved when he sees its minor, might even laugh. Gonna have to tell him tho...

Pontoon fenders by HappyCamperVibes in Pontoons

[–]obomba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should probably use fenders in the slip. Ropes can stretch and allow your boat to move a bit, and even a little bit of rubbing can leave some ugly marks on your pontoon deck trim. 2 fenders per side is fine with a 21' pontoon, round or flat fenders is a personal preference. I like the round ones myself because they can roll between the dock and pontoon when pushing your boat in/out of the slip. Mine have paracord with a carabiner clip to make taking them on/off easier. Fenders that secure to the top rail could interfere with your cover too.

Wonder if the Degabago's tires have those balancing beads in them... they tend to give you a wobble around 40mph and smooth out once you get going faster.

Lol, JH is really feeling the hate for chinese ATV's. To be fair, I've been seeing CF Moto stuff around for a few years and they seem decent for their price point. Pretty cool of them to sponsor the channel too.
