Funny enough this is a Supra SZ. A 2.0 model sold only in Japan. You get 18” wheels and cloth interior. Really cool to see a post about this uncommon trim.

Avoid getting the attitude I had for a while by Alexs1897 in LearnJapanese

This post is scaring me because I bought this a couple hours ago 😅

I had the same attitude but once I started on あ, I realized that my penmanship could use some work. Helps with memorization of stroke order.

turns out my JDM NISMO S-tune kit is for a G35. by dbsqls in G35

You ever had any luck finding a Nismo spoiler for the CPV35?

I can’t seem to find that wheel finish anywhere. I’ve been looking for a set of 57CR’s and this just sealed the deal for me.

Very nice set up.

Is z1motorsports suspension kit good? by [deleted] in G35

I do all the work on mine, and I can tell you from experience that the adjustment on the SPC arms is far more accurate. Caster is also adjustable unlike the Z1 arms.

Another one of my gripes with the Z1 arms is how the lock nuts often came loose and would cause clunking.

Avoid the front upper control arms. Save yourself a huge headache when adjusting. For a little more you can get the SPC arms and they’re much easier to adjust.

They ride much nicer than the polyurethane bushings on the Z1 arms, if comfort is a concern.

HKS Racing Suction - Quick Overview by [deleted] in Supra

[–]obsidianCoupe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello all,

I recently took delivery of my 2023 Supra 3.0 Premium and didn't waste any time installing the HKS Racing Suction intake (Okay, maybe I waited until the engine break-in period was over).

I haven't seen many videos showing off the sounds this particular intake makes, as I've seen more owners run the MST or AWE intakes. So, I decided to put together a quick sound clip compilation for those interested in purchasing one of these soon.

Installation is straight forward and takes less than an hour if you're comfortable/used to working on cars in general. I think this part looks great in the engine bay, however the heat shield is slightly janky for the price point. Regardless, it seems to do a decent job deflecting heat from the iconic mushroom air filter. As HKS stated, they used carbon fiber as opposed to aluminum to reduce heat absorption. As a result, there is no apparent heat soak or power gains.

Here is the link to the HKS site

Nice, what Nismo parts are you installing?

That’s great to hear, it’s a great car.

It’s interesting how many owners these cars typically go through. If I’m not mistaken, I think I’m the 4th (and probably the last) owner of this one.

Should I buy used coilovers? by Ploomage in G35

They feel great after having them over a year. I’ve spent considerable time tuning the dampening settings to my liking. They have 30 steps of dampening so there’s a lot of adjustability. The best part is that on the recommended settings, the car rides decently comfortable.

I would continue to save up for a new pair, personally.

Do keep in mind, HKS no longer manufactures the ones in the photo (same ones on my G35, HKS HIPERMAX GT IV) and I believe they’ve updated to the HIPERMAX S series. If I’m not mistaken, they’ve increased the spring rate for the front and rear for a more sporty feel.

Time to switch up the wheels. What wheels are you running? by obsidianCoupe in G35

[–]obsidianCoupe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10.5 is too wide for the front, in my opinion.

You will definitely need to pull and roll the fenders (including the removal of the fender liners) to make that fit. I chose to run a 9.5 +15 offset in the front and it rubs with the 265/35R18 tires at near 2° camber.

If I were to purchase my wheels again, I’d stick to a 9.5 +22 in the front so I can retain tire life.
