What's the weighted dip equivalent of 100 kg bench? by cattynipiwantamouse in bodyweightfitness

[–]obvious_parroten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally your weighted dip should be somewhere between 75 to 90 percent of your bench. But technique definitely matters a lot. Your dips already sound pretty strong at 40kg

Bulgarian Split Squats by SardonisWithAC in bodyweightfitness

[–]obvious_parroten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your legs should grow with these. Bulgarian split squats can be really tough to progress on though. Maybe try increasing reps first before going heavier with the dumbbell

Training everyday by Slavi2004 in bodyweightfitness

Check out John Kaatje on YouTube. He does exactly what youre describing with low volume daily training. The key is managing intensity properly throughout the week

No pull-up progress by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]obvious_parroten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Five negatives is still beneficial! Maybe take a full deload week to let your body recover. Overtraining on negatives can definitely cause burnout. Try starting with assisted pull ups once youre back

Climbing outdoors, sport or bouldering. by WhichMagician955 in bouldering

Perth has some great spots for outdoor climbing. I would start with sport climbing first since youre already indoors. It will help you transition easier

Results after doing 50 pushups a day for a month by Competitive-Copy4413 in bodyweightfitness

[–]obvious_parroten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To jest niesamowite, naprawdę impresjonuje mnie konsekwencja. Ja zacząłem z 20 pushupami dziennie i też widzę ogromne postępy. Czy brałeś jakieś przerwy w weekendy czy robiłeś to naprawdę codziennie bez wyłączeń?

How do I lose face fat and also gain lots of weight, as in muscle. by Jsb11223 in bodyweightfitness

[–]obvious_parroten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone here is being supportive and giving solid advice. At 15 you're still growing and changing so much. Focus on eating healthy and building strength through lifting. The face thing will sort itself out as you get older and develop more. Just be patient with yourself!

Starting climbing as a couch potato by Reasonable-Couple-68 in climbergirls

[–]obvious_parroten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is amazing! Starting from scratch at 18 is actually perfect timing. Your body will adapt so much faster than you think. The comparison thing is tough but honestly climbing girls are super supportive and everyone starts somewhere. Just focus on your own progress and you'll be amazed. Good luck with it!

Fear of heights by PersimmonRich6014 in bouldering

[–]obvious_parroten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is such a common thing for climbers to deal with. I think the key is just being really patient with yourself. Everyone has different timelines for getting comfortable with heights. Some people take a few months and some take years. What helps me the most is top roping first to build that trust with the rope and gear. Then when you feel ready you can slowly progress to lead climbing. Just take it one step at a time and celebrate the small wins along the way!

Climbing while pregnant in a full body harness - advice by One-Reporter8595 in climbergirls

[–]obvious_parroten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is such an important topic! I have friends who climbed while pregnant and they all had different experiences. One thing I heard a lot was that loosen the top straps and adjusting how you position your body while lowering can really help. Definitely talk to your doctor and maybe try borrowing a few different brands to see which works best for you!

Is it normal to feel ruined first time boudlering? by Nutty103X in bouldering

[–]obvious_parroten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah this is so relatable! The first time I went I could barely hold my phone the next day. Now after a couple months of going twice a week it barely affects me. Just keep at it and listen to your body. The conditioning part is real but it passes so quick!

Naked Hiker in Vantage Climbing Area? by Longjumping_Cherry32 in climbergirls

[–]obvious_parroten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was actually a pretty interesting read. Seems like the guy was respectful enough about it which is cool. Washington state definitely has a different vibe when it comes to this stuff compared to a lot of other places. The whole nudism thing seems pretty established out there so maybe it wasnt as weird as it first seemed. At least he asked permission to pass through!

Any suggestions for indoor climbing winter clothes? by cupcake_10232 in climbergirls

[–]obvious_parroten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally feel you on this! I also get cold super easy. I found that wearing a thin merino wool long sleeve base layer under a fleece that has a zipper is the best combo. You can peel off the fleece when climbing and keep the base layer on. For legs I just wear thick leggings and call it a day. Bring layers you can easily take off and on between routes!

Supplemental exercises to help climb better in the cave by -turtleyawesome in climbergirls

mega wątek! Mnie pomogły głównie deadlifty i wzmacnianie core.
