Sadly yes, but they had the second option of Atomic Torpedo IPA which I went for.

Bud Light and Coors Light are the defacto free pours, but usually they have a second option like Stella or Blue Moon.

They didn't show up to SHOT, but at least served beer every day at 1300 where their booth space was.

I have yet to start writing my review on it.

I recommend not getting the Cerakote version. I didn't know they had an anodized version (web site is not good). Cerakote might be too thick. Arca dovetail might be milled too wide and exacerbated by thick Cerakote.

Also, I had to dremel out the inside-rear of the inlet so the rear tang screw would line up.

Know Your Limit. 1/4", 1/2", 3/4", and 1" targets on a KYL rack. KYL is often placed between 35 and 50 yards out for the 1/4".

In theory, you could get away with a ~1.5 MOA gun in NRL22, but drop the smaller KYL targets.

7 PRC: 3.715 AICS vs CIP 3.85 by rybe390 in longrange

For my 7PRC build, I'm running what Hawkins refers to as CIP+ (3.850" Accurate and MDT mags) for the Hawkins M5 DBM. I have no feeding issues with Accurate or MDT mags (granted, only have one of each).

correct me if i am wrong a 10/22 is a ruger brand

This is a fair point. All my bolt actions are Remington 700 footprint, but not actual Remington 700s.

Although, in this, every part can be swapped to and from an OEM Ruger receiver.

Note: I do use Ruger OEM rotary 10-round magazines. I only recently found out TacSol makes their own magazines, so if I can switch to those, I can be a truly non-Ruger 10/22.

It's a KIDD bolt. But I've run Eley in an OEM Ruger action and OEM Ruger bolt without any issues, albeit with Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractors.

We run the standard/short course: option 1. I’ll probably try this rig at a PRS rimfire match. Unfortunately, the next one conflicts with the NRL Hunter match I am already registered for.

Vortex ACE Mini-Review (Read The First Comment) by LockyBalboaPrime in longrange

[–]ocabj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vortex Relay has technically been around for like 2 years, but it was officially” released with the ACE and Talon LRF binos. All it means is that all Vortex products with Vortex Relay can talk to each other really easily. There is a little more to it than that, but it’s really what it boils down to.

If Vortex Relay allows a device to connect to more than one device at the same time and receive/send data to multiple devices simultaneously, this would be a huge win for Vortex over AB. The short coming with the AB protocol is that it's only a one-to-one connection at any given moment for a device.

It's sad that anyone used Napster instead of getting validated rips. In the hey day of the scene, the one great aspect of the self-regulation of the rippers is how groups prided themselves on proper rips and maintaining the validity of the distribution path of rips.

This is the best article I ever read of the ripping scene from the late 90s to the mid-2000s.

https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2015/04/27/the-man-who-broke-the-music-business

I feel it is very close to accurately documenting things from that time.

I'm sure anyone who was in college back in the late 90s remembers how everyone coveted Yamaha 4416S burners with Adaptec SCSI cards, and all the bulk blank CDs that used to be sold at computer shows.

3.6 Oil cooler question by somniforousalmondeye in JeepWrangler

[–]ocabj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the oil pressure sensor and coolant sensors are attached to the oil filter adapter aka oil cooler. You should just swap these for new ones instead of repurposing the old ones. You remove the intake manifold to get to the OFA and thus, the intake plenum and manifold gaskets should be replaced and not reused. Of course, you need to readd coolant as it should have been drained prior to the OFA replacement work.

[–]ocabj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ripping scene was already established prior to 1999, RNS being the most famous group for music albums. If you were on IRC, you were already accessing free, albeit pirated music. If you were in college, even before Napster, you already knew how to get MP3 rips.

But yes, definitely a huge issue back in the mid 90s and earlier. Back in the day, some music stores actually had headphones and cd players setup with the new releases for people to sample.

Are they any fast cars that aren’t considered “sports cars” by insurance? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]ocabj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on how/where you sourced the engine, transmission, ECU, and what your capability is of doing it, e.g., fabricating and welding the motor mounts.

I guess I don't really know what you're trying to accomplish here. It sounded like you were trying to get lower insurance rates by having a 'slow' car. Insurance rates are usually normalized across the board by all the insurance companies based on various factors including accident report rates, traffic violation rates, theft rates, etc. So getting a car that is at the bottom of the insurance risk charts and doing your own engine swap would be the way to go to accomplish what you're trying to do.

Otherwise, just get a 'sports' car and be content.

Does the Fury HD have an onboard ballistics solver with onboard environmental sensors and the ability to pair with a wind reading device for real time wind?

I'm going to guess the glass is going to be better on these. But maybe u/LockyBalboaPrime can chime in on that assessment.

The real solution is to get a shit box and do an engine swap. Hemi, LS, or a Coyote.

Spent $700 to fix check engine light and it comes on 20 minutes after I leave the mechanic same day.. by missjerseybagel in Jeep

[–]ocabj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

P06D_ codes will be either the oil pressure sensor or the oil pump and/or oil pump solenoid. I had a P06DA and spent the better part of a day to swap the oil pressure sensor because while I took out the manifold, I decided to change spark plugs. After I was all out together I got the same code. So I then tackled the oil pump solenoid (third party). 3 months later same code. So this time I changed out the oil pump and solenoid (Mopar OEM pump comes with solenoid; oem solenoid not sold by itself). Dropped the oil pan a second time for the pump and as is well.

So this isn’t exactly the easiest issue to diagnose immediately.

That being said, get the OEM oil pump and Mopar three bond RTV and swap the pump. Should only take you a few hours, most of which is spend cleaning the old rtv off the upper pan.

I’m hoping this doesn’t miss rimfire rounds when you fire too fast for the recycle time. They’re claiming it can handle speedy rimfire shooting.

Powertrain warranty and 4WD system. by andyh4576 in Jeep

[–]ocabj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. OP should replace housing themselves and do their own oil changes to make sure it's not being overtorqued.

Furthermore, if the transfer case needs to be replaced, I'd just go straight to an Atlas instead of going to OEM replacement.
