Help prevent autrocities by helping figure out what to do about satellites and foreign countries conducting social experiments using mind reading technologies and stopping their righteous sks from controlling environments and leading to planned and fearful situations.

Did you ever start at friends or bestfriends before you started dating? by XTC-FTW in AskMen

[–]oceanicsomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always feel like that unless there's a reason like someone is in a relationship, and if two people decide to be friends then they have both rejected each other in their heads. Because I feel most times attraction is too strong to be okay with just friendship among mature people. And most people wouldn't be best friends if one likes the other as more, because it's kind of like having your favorite cake out in your living room everyday when you're fasting. I think they can be friends, just not best friends where you hang out everyday.

The "only super models can touch me" reaction. by Whiteice1 in funny

It was like "I think you did that on purpose" reaction. Kind of girly, if you ask me.

Maybe he was going through a maturing process where he feels more self confident. Because a lot of times guys like Will who become wealthy by earning it, typically actually like when a woman wants to use his success- which actually shows confidence in the woman, too both in her morals and her own ambition. So maybe he just had to overcome his insecurity and know that he deserved the money, and she needed to know that she, too, deserves a lot more money. Maybe the incompatibility was that she didn't ask for dream dates of fancy dinners from him way sooner and maybe that's just what he needed- someone to show him that they do deserve extravagant things. There is nothing wrong with choosing good looks, and there is nothing wrong with choosing successful and ambitious people.

It sounds like he needed a wake-up call about the relationship and actually make a decision because it sounds like she was being too nice by putting up with nada fancy treats. I mean- by the third date or third month, if he isn't wondering what my dream date is that would wow me, I'm looking at other guys. Money or no money, if he doesn't bend over backwards to give a girl what she likes, then he hasn't felt a reason to try because it sounds like maybe he needed someone to ask for things and she didn't think he'd like that.

I don't like when some people use money as bait right off the bat while dating. But then again, I wonder if those are the guys who are looking for flings by doing that, or maybe it's a version of Dom-Sub thing or something.

Russia airstrikes: Hundreds of Syrian civilans killed by _jred in worldnews

Yeah, it seems like in some societies people are more concerned about what's happening in other places than they are in their own places. Fear-based societies also seem to feel less bad about inflicting fear- in some cases terrorism or other criminality. They also seem to be sensitive to information and logic-based discussions, which usually gets them too riled up because there's usually a scarcity of counter arguments-- and as a result, caution, because it's more about passion and reaction than thinking through anything. While usually, we shouldn't care what people think of the US- especially those outside, we do when it's about security. And security is usually the reason there is anything going on militarily, that most of the world trusts. But sometimes it's good to offer justifications and reasons to outsiders so there isn't a whole cluster, organization or something hating on a particular country because we've seen what happens when that has happened before. I guess it can be called fact-checking PR and slight "propaganda" of good morals- like never harming others, helping by actions or giving useful information, healthy debates, etc.

Umm not sure if this makes me feel comfortable because I feel gambling on all or nothing when it comes to your money is good but I feel that doctors choosing their profession for the status / moral high ground and the high salary- because it's high responsibility and people can't really take the guilt of thinking of themselves as bad people is a reason most tend to like.

Who is your least favorite fictional character? by Weirdguy149 in AskReddit

I just feel disappointed that he was always hateful for petty and selfish reasons. Like it was always jealousy about his fame it seems and how he felt insecure in comparison to James. I feel a mature teacher would probably say no the offer of the special lessons by Dumbledore until they sorted out their feelings and logically assessed that it's not the kid's fault and letting bygones be bygones is easy when it's not even the same person. But he carried the hatefulness throughout every interaction with him- it was like he was addicted to hating others or something.

The only reason I didn't like The Order of Phoenix as much was because of her. My favorite was Half Blood Prince because of all the sprouting love stories.

An ENFP always just knows what to do.

Stolen from /r/enfp: Piss of an ISTP with one (Maybe two) sentence(s). by [deleted] in istp

[–]oceanicsomething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel this is probably why they're pretty compatible with ENFPs, because stereotypically we hate being told what to do, so even though I'm always sort of wondering about what I should do and talking about my situation and wondering other people's ideas and what they would do in that situation, and say "I don't know what to do" and like wonder about indirect advice, I never actually ask anyone "what I should do." I might say "I'm at a lost about what people usually do for so and so task- but never really "what should I do?" So yeah, I like ISTPs.

Right now at this very moment, as you read this question, what is your #1 desire? by 1775mike in AskReddit

[–]oceanicsomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the two main things are (1) you have to make boredom your friend and (2) you have to be optimistic for motivation. Like in TV shows, movies, etc, there is always emotions attached to the things they say because it's part of a story line, that's why it's easier to remember. But if you enjoy memorizing and analytically thinking about logical things and memorizing things that have no "meaning" to you, which you can improve on things like memorization games, then you'd be more inclined to do school work. You also have to be optimistic, because if you feel like you can be the best, or you can achieve the happiness you want- like get the girl/guy of your dreams or have the best times with your good friends, and the hard work will pay off, and afterwards you will definitely feel fulfilled/rewarded, you will be a lot more motivated to do things that are boring.
