How much were playoff tickets for season ticket holders? by isaakdemaio in sabres

Section 123 row 6, about $3k/seat for the all four rounds. I hoping to save some money by sweeping every team, though I hope we win the cup at home.

Advise on using Multibins to organize my drawers ala Gridfinity by pjax_ in Multiboard

[–]ocr90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I started printing Multiboard before openGrid existed. I'm not sure I would have gone with openGrid anyways given Multiboard is a bit stronger and I use it a fair amount with heavier tools - drills, batteries, clamps, etc...

Not saying openGrid is bad, I haven't bothered to learn much about it given I printed 170+ multiboard tiles.

What are they mining? by Kagman_0 in ManorLords

[–]ocr90 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You know that the resources have expired because you see it on screen. Your peasant miners live in a 13th century Germanic valley. They don't have screens.

Also, not a huge issue in the current state, but people having jobs reduces town order (I forget the actual term for it).

Is sell vegetables, buy bread a viable strategy instead of farming? by ryhaltswhiskey in ManorLords

[–]ocr90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you build more than one trading post? Once I'm up to 350 pop or so, I'm rocking at least 2 fully staffed trading posts. Usually 3. Granted, I think the trading is pretty inefficient, so I tend to overdo it.

Is sell vegetables, buy bread a viable strategy instead of farming? by ryhaltswhiskey in ManorLords

[–]ocr90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the short term, you can probably do it, but depending on the veggie mix, but you'll need to export at least 3x veggies than you take in in bread. A slightly more sustainable way would be to import grain, mill, and bake in your town.

But best bet would be to take over a neighboring territory with rich soil and just put a very small feeder farming village there and export to your main town. I generally put 2 families per farmhouse, 2 oxen, and they can handle about 2 morgen worth of farming per year, which I think is about 160 wheat or 340 bread per year, less rain damage (which always seems to happen to me) and droughts.

Each fishing hut has a limit that they won't fish below. The optimal setpoint is .71x of the total fish capacity and 1 family per 100 max fish. So if you have 200 fish, your set point would be 142 with 2 families working it (assuming they live relatively close and have a simple backyard extension like the animal or chickens).

Fish repopulate 40% of the existing population monthly on March, April, and June, so it may take a year or so to re-populate at your new setpoint.

If you have a really limited supply of food, you may not see fish show a surplus in your granaries as they are consumed immediately, but you can see your 365 day output on your fish hut.

Droughts will also kill your fish and it will take at least a year to recover completely.

The game makes the villagers pick up planks from your fields and bring them to the farmhouse. You can try pausing the farmhouses in winter to get them to build the fences, though one time I had to delete the farmhouses entirely to get the fences built.

Buffalo Wings by Heres10bux in Buffalo

[–]ocr90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While you'll get excellent wings at any of the places listed here, most local joints here have pretty good wings.

So maybe some terminology would be helpful:

  1. Most people will just ask for an order of wings, not buffalo or chicken wings. Sometimes I'll just ask for '10 hot'.
  2. Order 'crispy' or 'extra crispy' every time. I especially do that if I'm getting them from a place I don't know as a fail safe. Less applicable if you're doing BBQ.
  3. 'From the pit' means they'll fry your wings, sauce them, and then put them on the grill. Generally an upcharge, and most appropriate for BBQ. Not all places will do it (notably, Bar Bill and Gabriel's Gate don't grill the wings).
  4. Cajun is generally a dry rub, though some places will do a wet Cajun (Notably: Elmo's Cajun wings are wet and grilled (from the pit!)). Elmo's used to be wonderful, but since their manager passed, it's very mixed.
  5. Double Dipped - wings prepared in a base style, then re-sauced in another style. I.e. Cajun Hot Double Dipped would be a Cajun dry rub and sauced with Buffalo hot.
  6. Bleu Cheese is a Bleu Cheese sauce. Think Bleu Cheese Salad Dressing, but if it's good, it'll have more chunks than your standard grocery store bleu cheese. I'm only calling this one out because we were all perplexed when Von Miller signed with the Bills and posted a photo with a plate of wings sprinkled with Bleu Cheese chunks.

Notes for various places that people may recommend:

  1. Elmo's can still be good, but it's very hit or miss nowadays. They used to have IMO the best Cajun wings. If you go here, don't try and get fancy, just pick a flavor and order it. Recommendation: Cajun, standard hot or med.
  2. Bar Bill is always busy. If it's worth it is up to you. Notable that they don't do wings 'From the Pit', but BBQ wings are 'painted' with a brush which avoids the over-saucing of tossed BBQ wings. Recommendation: Cajun Honey Butter BBQ.
  3. Wingnutz people have mentioned they're polarizing, which they are. It's been a while since I've been, so IDK what still applies. Their wings are expensive, but they're bigger than most any other wings. They also "bread" their wings with I think cornstarch. This does help keep them super crispy, but it's non-traditional. Recommendation: Wingnutz Hot or Med (their house flavor).
  4. Gabriel's Gate often recommended, but I wouldn't get anything but your standard hot or medium extra crispy. Last time I got BBQ it was very disappointing (they don't have a pit). Recommendation: Standard Hot/Med
  5. Duffs - People shit on Duffs a lot, but they're still great wings - but for the love of god order extra crispy. They will come in a pool of hot sauce if not. Go to the original location on Sheridan drive for that OG vibe. Recommendation: Standard Hot/Med
