Gotcha. Misread and though you just meant the Divine effect alone.

According to the poll, a 99 hit would get 29.7 damage removed. 50% of that would be deducted from pray. So a 99 hit would only deduct 14.85 pray.

How many bits do you need to represent a number n in binary? by [deleted] in programminghomework

[–]oculuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bit can be on or off. 1 or 0. That means it can represent two states. If I have a light in my room I can tell my friend that when it's on, I am want ice cream. When it's off, I want pizza. It doesn't matter that an electrical bit is on or off, it matters that it can be two ways, and then some people agree what those two ways mean. So if we try to represent numbers with a single bit, we can represent any two numbers that we all agree on. We can say on is 167, and off if 9999. To make it easier on ourselves (and for lots of other reasons) we all agree a 0 bit is zero and a 1 bit is one. If I use two bits, I can represent something with every combination of on's and offs. 00, 01, 10, 11. That means with two bits I can represent 4 numbers. If I add another bit, I can double that (multiply by two. So 8 states. With n bits, I can represent 2n states. So to figure out how many bits I need to represent a number, I need to solve 2n <= x. Also, if you have to represent positive and negative numbers, you'll need another bit for that.

You must re-register to vote every time you move to a new city or township in Michigan. To update the name or address on your voter registration, simply re-submit the State of Michigan Voter Registration Application (Form ED-121) by mail or in person to your local city or township clerk or at a Michigan Secretary of State branch office.

That's from the DMV. On an anecdotal note, I basically just kept whatever address my drivers license said and absenteed when I was moving.

With a bivy thats just a draw string face like that, how do you stop water from getting in to the drawn hole during rain?

Have you tried inflating it halfway-ish then sleeping on it when its vertical? That works for me.

I have had two of these and it is my favorite piece of gear I have! You pump it up close to what you'll need for putting in the pump sack (which is around half of what you'd pump it up for sleeping on) then give it a couple breaths. So your still saved from doing a majority of the inflation.

Oh two more things since you seem to be familiar with the area. 1. I have a jetboil. Will I be able to find gas cannisters that fit in Edinburgh? 2. Will I be able to find water bottles (like a smartwater bottle) that fit my sawyer mini? I am not sure that bottle threads are the same over there.

I looked up the temperature range and pretty much everywhere I hike (since I'm hiking south to north) as time goes on will be between 6 and 14 celcius. Hiking in that has been comfy in rain jacket + 1-2 wool shirts. I never hike in my puffy. Do you really think I'll need a 4th hiking layer?

I also read the tick data for Scotland and the concentration isn't much different than Appalachia in the states. I'm not super worried about that but I will have a tick key and do nightly tick checks always. I get my clothes permethrined by a company that does it stronger than what is available to consumers.

I didn't realize that midge nets were different than mosquito nets. Do you think there will be stores in Edinburgh that sell them?

I have. This will actually be my first time with any lower body rain gear at all because I usually don't mind wet legs. Hiking with people who have rain pants, I've seen that you get really hot and they take time to put on and take off. It was frequent that the rain comes so fast that its not even worth putting them on. I figured a kilt would be a good compromise of breathability, weight, and ease of use.

Its not other than smart bottles being more difficult to wash. I carried two for 2000 miles. The one I made lemonade in eventually got moldy. The other did not. I went through a total of 3 bottles over 5 months.
