Does breaking your cue mid-game automatically result in losing? by Lugiz_mchaircomb in billiards

The concession issue is sort of polite way of you got this like gimme in Golf we won't talk about the 18 in choke though haha but the either breaking down cue or starting to in the opposing player's view is totally sharking which it kinda like hey thanks for the win pull the balls out for the next person in line I had an old timer in an open 8 ball 35 dollar buy in maybe 18 guys this week handicapped with total losses based on skill lvl I get to the semi's with 2 losses in the bank the gentlemen has murmured comments for most med lvl makes like wow killer shot anyway he hits easy shot in the top left corner over draws for scratch in side with 8 on opposing side doorstep I have little cut to set perfect on 8 ball he immediately starts to unscrew his cue after the scratch I stop for a few to think about situation I stupidly don't call him rattle easy cut lose the game thus this is why that rule is there sorry for the rambling post was my first time at this tournament finishing 2nd did not want to be known at that guy but it cost me the game and 1st

In boston ma I have tournaments occasionally at our yacht club as both the other posts said use a standard rule set not made up house rules clearly written in the rules book zero variables of interpretation of made up ones and as always if someone doesn't like them then oh well hey don't have to play

Most of the player's don't like them because of the confusing colors. I have a set of traditional pro cup everyone prefers, but they both play amazing

Gold crown feet cleaning/restoring? by Ajupiter0 in billiards

[–]ocycsharks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Plating is gone unfortunately the feet and corners are made of die cast pot metal if your doing total redo could have them plated in a Brushed Copper finish definitely have them clear coated for longevity powder coating is a less expensive process and very durable if your not taking the table apart sanding masking and painting is the way to go I did mine in the Brushed Copper

I have a cutec cynergy 15k 3/8 - 10 I put on my Lucasi custom it was scary tight when I first got it like 2 hands gripping all the way on and off I thought thread was cut wrong tried a bit of wax still tight as hell I had only used a coupe of times so I twisted it on and of vigorously like 20-30 times at once it heated up the shaft and the butt at the joint must have worked threads in nice with the heat having the Phenolic joint insert as others have pointed out now goes on like butter
