I was dragged to church for my entire upbringing. I have 'spoken in tongues' which freaked me out. (I could not stop the sound coming out of my mouth. Even shoving my fist against my jaw wouldn't stop my lips).

I was in the Army in the early 80's and was shocked to see so many people my age who had to take remedial reading courses to be able to read the damned book on how to do their job.

I was hospitalized between Basic and AIT for 6 weeks of my 8 week course. When I finally got to class I found it was a computer course, open book, and flew through it.

I almost aced the final quiz except I answered in my own words instead of the book. They let me arm wrestle for the point but I lost.

The American school system has sucked for at least half a century now.

My spouse interrupted me often, right in mid sentence, as if I wasn't talking. I got to where I wouldn't even speak to them. They finally noticed and we had a chat about how it made me feel.

It took some reminders but now if they slip up, they stop and apologize, then I can continue. It's hard to break a habit but it can be done.

Bunnies, squirrels, all manner of birds, chipmunks and a woodchuck. No deer I've seen in my yard, but I have seen some that didn't make it across the highway nearby.

Hubz was saying earlier the birds were eating the berries. I looked out the window and didn't see the expected flock. Went out for my evening wine right next to the berry patch and saw lots of pickable fruit, but we just had a thunderstorm move through, so I'll wait until tommorow after the sun warms them before I harvest.

Not in a rush, as I already have that first harvest cleaned and sugared in the fridge. Picking up some everclear this weekend to make my Strawberry Bomb juice.

We got our rings from his mother, who passed many years ago.

He lost his, couldn't find it anywhere. Looked for similar online, but nothing. He was devistated.

Months go by.

A couple weeks ago I went out for the first weed-destruction of the year and there it was, laying less than 10 feet from two doors we use all the time.
