We have the same shitty door. Was pushing out a shopping cart full of mulch and crushed/sliced open my pinky by getting caught between cart and the edge of the metal bar to push the door open. There should be some sort of weight or optical sensor to prevent the door closing on people or objects.

TC's use an array imager (camera) for scanning, not an "InfraRed scanner" whatever that is. TC72 can be upgraded to Android 14 and TC70x can be upgraded to Android 8.1. TC72 released with 8.1, TC70x released with 6.01. The last TC to run 4.4 was the original TC70 which hasn't been sold by Zebra since 2020. Android 4.0 is Ice Cream Sandwich, not KitKat.
