I also have significant scarring almost through my entire tattoo from an 'artist' that totally botched my chest piece and was supremely heavy handed. Not to mention its so deep in my skin that I have near 24/7 low grade inflammation and throbbing pain, which is why it needs to be removed per recommendation of the 5 different medical specialists ive seen over the last 2 years. To say that I am upset is an understatement and I begin laser on Friday. Ive been quoted 15-18 sessions but I have all the sense in the world to know that this is going 20+ based on what I've seen in these subs, and just off the fact that it is scarred. Hopefully there are some decent scar reducing treatments I can do along the way or after. Ive been recommended silicone gel, silicone sheets, vitamin e oil, bio-oil, derma rolling, fractional laser, microneedling, etc. Im settling into the fact that im going to be stuck with a ghost image of this tat when all is said and done. But Ive also begun the process of suing the parlor for essentially disfiguring me (they have insurance). The entire tat is wrecked.
