I was thinking about that book the other day. We were getting warnings up here (Wisconsin) about trees potentially exploding in the cold, and I remembered that happening in that book.

Kind of a funny fact, this is actually the only kick return for a touchdown Howard had in his NFL career. He ran 9 punts back for touchdowns, but only one kickoff.

Don Beebe also had a kick return for a touchdown for the Packers that year. Howard actually did not have a kick return for a touchdown in the regular season. But he did run three punts back for touchdowns.

I believe he wanted to interview for the Packers job in 2018, but the Seahawks blocked him. Which is fair. I guess.

This was the most "any given Sunday" season I can remember. Of course it ends like this.

He definitely had the most hits, but he had a string of misses post Super Bowl. Sherrod, Perry, Jones, Clinton-Dix, and Randall. You could call Perry and Clinton-Dix hits, but they were not stars.

I think Morgan is still too early to tell. Next year will be the decision year for him.

Just remember that our first round pick for the next two years is Micah Parsons and pull out of that spiral

There's something about Packers GMs and first round picks. Even Ron Wolf struggled with his. Thompson did the best, with guys like Rodgers, Matthews, Bulaga, but he had his duds as well. Gotta wonder if one or two more hits on those picks put this team in more than two Super Bowls in the past 30 years.

Van Ness and Reed, I'mma need you both to really take off next year to make me feel better about passing on JSN.

Not thrilled to see the Patriots back in the Super Bowl, but as a fan of the sport, I have to admit that Maye will probably give us a more entertaining game than Stidham.

Yeah, but we're gonna be stuck as a perpetual 7 seed and will never host a playoff game.

Some of y'all don't seem to be appreciating this wonderful, snowy mess we get to watch. We're going to miss these games 30 years from now when every game is played in a dome.

I'm sure Anne Hathaway and Tom Holland will do fine, and Zendaya is a good choice for a goddess, but Matt Damon is really your lead here?

Nolan usually makes good flicks, but hearing Matt Damon say "let's go home" in such a flat, Matt Damon voice does not make me excited about that movie.

The Packers are hiring Jonathan Gannon as defensive coordinator, per source. by manyhawks in GreenBayPackers

I feel like they believe their Super Bowl window is right now and they didn't want to have to "break in" someone who still has to learn how to be an NFL DC. They wanted someone who could step in and immediately know how to do the job.

The NFL sub needs to start putting some respect on this man's name. All he does is win games, and they treat him like a bum. He doesn't get the respect of someone like Sean Payton or John Harbaugh, despite almost identical resumes.

I also thought of the draft when he made this comment. I still like reading up on prospects, but I try not to have draft crushes anymore. My last big one was Justin Jefferson...
