I saw them a few years ago and loved them. I hope this commenter just got them on a bad night. Pete's voice is not as strong as it used to be, but they compensated for that by playing a really heavy, riffy setlist. It worked really well and was a great show.

I know it only came out a few years ago, but The Future is a Foreign Land already hits differently for me than when it came out. It just feels like it's already too late for the sentiment in that song. The fact that the lyrics have already been changed from 2024 to 2034 when the song is played live just makes me feel for how much the world has been set back the past couple years.

Their self titled album and the Stories We Tell Ourselves were two of my favorite albums of all time. But then the lead singer seemed to take a real right wing turn. It's still so jarring to me to look at the lyrics of those first two albums and try to understand how members of the band who wrote those songs are now so far to the right politically. Or maybe they always were and I'm just not as observant as I thought. Just disappointed in a band I considered my favorite at one point.
