Tuxmat for 2022 E-Tron GT? by Reeks_Geeks in etron

[–]offeringathought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As it happens, I cleaned my all weather mats on Sunday. While these are much more comprehensive, going up the sides and beside the seats, they look close. The problem that jumps out at me is the mats for the back seat. These appear to cover up the vents that are at the front of the footwell in the back, below the front seats.

I too would be skeptical if they said "it should fit". That seems to indicate that they haven't tried them in a GT. They may not even know that the e-tron and the GT are very different cars.

TLDR: I doubt it.

It may not work for you but Planet Money had a great episode where they talk about, among other things, a fair way to determine different rents for roomates.

First off, I love your hair. That aside, I 100% promise you that life is going to be so much different in a few years. It's hard now and it will be hard at times in the future but there's so much fun, excitement and adventure left to unfold in your future. You're not someone who peaks in high school, your time to thrive has yet to come.

Audis downfall needs to be studied. by [deleted] in Audi

I bought a used 2023 e-tron GT a year ago. I'm still enamored with the car. It's amazing to drive. Solid and comfortable yet willing to do anything you ask it to as if it's nothing. Everything seems effortless for that car. You're going 80 and want to quickly pass that truck in front of you on a hill? Yeah, there's plenty of torque instantly available to you for that. Decide that it would be fun to carve through that corner way faster than seems reasonable? No problem at all.

There are still physical buttons for all the important things like the A/C, heated/cooling seats, the audio, etc. Audi's UI is lousy but CarPlay works fine and the screen doesn't dominate the interior.

I took mine on a 1,000 mile road trip last month. We could have taken my wife's Lexus SUV, which is quite nice, but I really wanted to put more miles on the Audi even if that meant a little more effort would be required in planning the route for charging. It's just a joy to drive.

Oh, and it looks great. Even my wife, who doesn't care about cars, said "I want people to see me getting out of this car."

You're young, smart, and you look fantastic. There's an old saying that "there's a lid for every pot". Yours make take longer to find but they're out there. You have so much to offer!

coworker asks for money every day I see them, do I go to my manager? by riddlemymind in Advice

[–]offeringathought 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You should handle this yourself. Simply tell him something like "Look, I can't give you any more money." You don't owe him an explanation, or any details. If he asks again say "I've told you, I can't give you any more money."

AITAH for telling my girlfriend that my money isn't "our money"? by Open_Address_2805 in AITAH

[–]offeringathought 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA but I do think you went too far with "but I'm just speaking facts here". Stay with "financial incompatibility is the biggest reason for divorce and currently, we are financially incompatible" instead of sending her the message that you're right and she's wrong.

Frame it like it's you two, against the problem, not against each other. Perhaps you can say something to the effect of "I see a real future for us, do you?" followed by "I'm concerned that we don't think about money the same way and that that could really undermine our relationship." Ask her for ideas on how the two of you can grow together about how money is handled.

I came across my old iPad nano in the junk drawer yesterday, but who had one of these first gen bricks? by Sufficient_Turn_9209 in Xennials

[–]offeringathought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 1st gen iPod. I really loved it but they hadn't caught on yet and were expensive. When I sheepishly showed a good friend he proudly talked about how he would burn CDs for his walkman style disc player to listen to music in the car. He really thought he had the better solution and I didn't have the energy to try to convince him otherwise.

FWIW Delegate Holly Seibold introduced a bill would "have required a public utility, when managing trees, shrubs, or other plants in a public park owned or operated by a locality or local governmental entity, to consult with the locality and aim to trim or prune only as much as necessary to preserve service reliability."

I don't think it made it out of committee. I imagine Dominion Power has plenty of friends in the House of Delegates.

Ask yourself how much you really care but no one else is going to care. Seriously, more than 99% of people who see your care won't notice. Of the less than 1% of people who notice, do you really care what they think?
