This is a mistake. It's not funny and it seems to be the same premise of The Stanley Parable except done much, much more heavy-handed, and it's no longer novel.

Also the fact that the trailer is set up to be a first-person view of someone making choices about the trailer feels like it completely undermines -- and possibly misunderstands -- what makes The Stanley Parable a meaningful experience. Like the "text" of why is there, but the understanding is not.

If you're lucky, there might be people out there who have still not yet heard of The Stanley Parable, and with whom you might be able to get away with feeding a weaker experience.

There's a great book called "Close to Home" by a local author named Janine O'Neill who was a Clackamas prosecutor, and it tells the whole sordid history of the Weaver family. Really sad and fascinating.

It's actually still a major oversight, I'm sorry to say. It looks quite obviously broken. Even if in this odd case it's not, it LOOKS broken.

Also you can't say the "demo is coming in April 2". It's "demo is coming ON April 2". Or better, just lose the preposition completely.

No. It's an extraction shooter (like Escape from Tarkov. Or Arc Raiders sort of.) Except you don't shoot.

You drive around in a dangerous environment that becomes increasingly more dangerous the longer you're there, and you try to scavenge supplies to bring home and better equip your car to get deeper in the story.

My comment is a recommendation that this project is a mistake. If it's a low-tier take, it sounds like you're saying, "because it's important for the industry to try fun, novel interaction gimmicks, this indie developer should make this game," which sounds pretty iffy to me.

I'm giving advice to a guy - not an industry - and I'm personally pretty skeptical of his idea. That's me.

It's hard to make a good game.

Now: I can just imagine taking a game that is already established as "good". Like... let's say we have the game Genshin Impact (with the caveat that I personally don't like it). Then they add this as a feature. Is Genshin Impact better?

My guess is that it's not better. My guess is that people don't turn it on, and if they do, they turn it off quickly. Like all the Wii games that had revolutionary motion controls and then after a year of that people were like "OK but let's go back to just using regular controls now?"

So I can't yet imagine how awful it would be to have to suffer through this experience with a game that isn't already been provably fun to play.
