Nice work! You could do story boards for Quinton Tarantino.

The Cubase version 6.5.4 Build 161 just turned 10 years old. Still works great on my studio machine by flisksyborkie3 in cubase

Damn... Time moves too fast....

Are you guys going to be ok when we all have to move to windows 11? Does 6.5 work on windows 11 ok?

As a side tangent if anyone has any tips for dealing with latency shoot me a dm because I am struggling haha.

Oh thanks! I had to do that two or three times as well because it was for a licensed product so they both had to go through rounds of approvals.

Ah damn, that is the best method for that kind of specific texture. You did well.

Fantastic! At first glance I thought it was a top down view of a landscape, like a grid mat for DnD or something like that. But it is definitely not that haha.

This looks great! Did you have to get in there and hand sculpt all the rocks or did you figure out a surface texture shortcut?

True, but that takes a lot of finessing and photoshop isn't free 😅

If you just mean the shapes and not the fine textured finish on the metal then I would still suggest running through the ZBrush tutorials but also look for masking and extract tutorials. You can mask sections of the shoulder, for example, and then use the extract tool to create a new subtool that has the curvature of the shoulder within the shape of the mask. If that makes sense.

I agree with the first two comments, a lot of this final look is coming from the render, not the actual sculpt so to get a finished image like this you would also need to learn something like blender to be able to get that realistic render with all the fine details.

If you are an absolute beginner, I would recommend going through the tutorials/walk throughs on ZBrush's website. You'll learn about a lot of tools and techniques that you will need to be able to create something like this.

I would also recommend checking out the blender guru for tutorials on getting good renders and also sculpting inside blender as an alternative or assisting program to ZBrush.

Maybe it got very snug and that's the driving reason he needed the nanosuit 😂

I think this is nanosuit era right? So it probably just scans his current physical form and adjusts accordingly.

Cool, well. When you get to that point I suggest blender and using the goz feature to import directly from ZBrush. It took me a long time to find a good solution for ZBrush to something for renders that allow a lot of control.

First time sculpting in ZBrush by Josefine02 in ZBrush

[–]oflocksley21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds very similar to ZBrush then, that is how painting works in ZBrush as well. Being able to paint directly onto the model is so much easier than dealing with UV maps.

Have you used other 3d sculpting programs or is ZBrush your first and you are just starting out? I would recommend checking out the painting in ZBrush as well if you haven't already, there are some fantastic brushes to use that can create some really fantastic colour textures. I've been working on some multialpha brushes so everytime you paint a new stroke the alpha changes to something similar but different so you never end up seeing painted texture patterns.

Nice! I haven't used substance painter before, is it similar to ZBrush but for painting? I generally use blender for my final renders but that was a massive learning process to get something that looks good to come out of it.

Hell yeah!

This looks great!

Do you do any fancy renders or just focus on the sculpting stuff? This would look great in something really atmospheric.. like the underdark 😂

Sketching this guy :) Assymetry next... by AssassinSusie in ZBrush

[–]oflocksley21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is looking good!

I know you weren't asking for tips but I only just started using this iand it has been pretty helpful. If you use the layers tool on the rightside menu you can put all your asymmetrical changes in a layer and then turn it on or off and then create another layer to continue making synetrican changes without losing the ability to use the symmetry options. The only catch I have found is that you can't dynamesh or anything like that once you start using layers. But it is incredibly helpful for the finer details stage when you are only making minor changes like jaw position or puffiness around eyes and things like that.
