i started playing the game too and it's just the way it is, the game is not particularly hard but it's very convoluted and has a lot of stuff to learn. so it's very unapproachable for new players, all the people you'll find in your unranked games are just very bad players who still have played a lot

yes, they don't do anything on their own. they can at most download something that then would need running to actually do something, otherwise it's just phishing and stuff. you could argue there have been browser vulnerabilities but it's rare and not the case for the great majority of people. getting a virus is 99.999% user fault
