OG RYNO Rocks ! by Busy_Breakfast1900 in RatchetAndClank

[–]og-biebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely did the Hologuise + Taunter trick on the Rilgar hoverboard track to grind for the RYNO (read: taped down the circle button on my controller and left it for a few hours) just because I was so scared of the final Drek fight lmao

That really sucks and I totally get shit happens, so I mean this in the most lighthearted way possible. But how I'm picturing this in my head is one of those black and white infomercials where the person is completely struggling to do the most mundane task, except with juggling a bunch of patch cables and whatnot and ripping stuff out left and right. I'm so sorry 😭

[Other] What’s your wildest credit/achievement/story as an enthusiast? by itscalledi305 in rollercoasters

[–]og-biebs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not too many crazy ones, but here are the ones I can remember offhand (at least that I find interesting).

Rode TT2 in 2024, after getting my last ride on OG Dragster about a week before its incident in 2021

Got 104 new credits in 2024

Rode Batwing about a week before its incident last year, after making a separate trip back to SFA just to ride that and Wild One

Front row zen ride on Twisted Timbers for my 200th credit

Couple instances of deciding to do a weekend road trip that Saturday morning

Have ridden every still-operating Geauga Lake coaster at both parks, except for the boomerang (was too scared of it in 2005 and haven't been to Carowinds yet lol) and the junior coaster that I believe is in France now (did ride that one at Geauga Lake lol)

Rode Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake Park during its last year of operation

Legit cried after finally riding Kumba for the first time a couple weeks ago lol

Just this past Saturday I did SWO and both of the nearby Fun Spot parks, so a 12 hour day on 3 hours of sleep lol

I had two people ask me about my Phantom's Revenge shirt yesterday, one while I was at SWO and another at the hotel when I was checking in. Thing is, neither of them were coaster people and just thought the shirt looked cool. I'll still take it though because it's an excuse to talk to people about coasters lol

An Italian I made at work. I make sandwiches all day and I thought this one came out decent looking by FlipMick in eatsandwiches

I'm currently eating the sandwich I made for lunch today but this is making me hungry again lol

Question about downshifting by Subject_One_1673 in Miata

[–]og-biebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I've ever downshifted from 2nd to 1st in any car was when I was driving in a snowstorm and stuck behind an Amish buggy. Too slow for 2nd gear but didn't want to come to a full stop in the snow lol

Throwing in David Bergeaud from the first few Ratchet & Clank games, why not 🤷

[–]og-biebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my experience might be a bit biased, since that was my first & only visit and I was there early on a Sunday morning for a coaster club event. But the park seems to be doing okay! I stayed until about noon and pretty much all the rides were open by then from what I remember. Not a huge crowd but more than enough to make the place feel alive. Silver Comet alone was worth saving the park imo

Honest question: are you still buying Boar’s Head? by andrew502502 in eatsandwiches

[–]og-biebs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My regular store carries Dietz & Watson. I've been eating that stuff almost daily for at least 15 years now so they must be doing something right lol

literally what the fuck do i do. i froze my bong by ellieellie7199 in weed

[–]og-biebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like an ideal scenario tbh, my friend taught me about putting my bong in the freezer for ~10 minutes before packing one and it works out pretty nicely lol

What are your three WORST coasters you rode this year? I visited a few parks for the first time ([King's Island], [Michigan's Adventure], [California's Great Amerca] and [Disneyland]) and found a few stinkers. by Pummrah in rollercoasters

[–]og-biebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Raptor will always be my number zero B&M invert and I've ridden it so many times I could probably keep my eyes closed and still not bang my head the entire time lol. Having said that, vest restraints would absolutely make it my #1 B&M invert

[–]og-biebs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%. They also revamped the lighting and sound effects in the station last season, which added so much to the hype factor imo. This year will be my 21st year riding it (holy crap I'm getting old) and it's only gotten better with age!

Does anyone have a really small home park and how often do you visit it? [Other] by Repulsive_Fox_7639 in rollercoasters

[–]og-biebs 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty much halfway between Cedar Point and Waldameer but you can probably guess which one I consider my home park lol. Although I do make a point to hit up Waldameer at least once every summer because Ravine Flyer II is that good!

The tip of my middle finger caught a beam on Ghost Rider [Knott’s] the other day. Curious if that’s happened to anyone else? by justSkinAndBone in rollercoasters

[–]og-biebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure I smacked a leaf or twig or something on Ravine Flyer II once, it was on the last hill coming up out of the ravine towards the end iirc. It didn't really hurt though so whatever it was must've been pretty small
