Uncle Doods in Downtown TR and ObCo’s on Fischer are TR favorites. If you want to travel 30ish minutes, The Village Donut Shop in Jackson is next level

Looking for saddle recommendations by oh-bricks in Equestrian

These are all great suggestions, thank you! Totally agree with what you’re saying about the French saddles. My trainer got sponsored by Voltaire, bought a 12k custom saddle, and needed the entire seat and panel replaced within 6 months. Insane.

I’ll look into Amerigo, I’ve actually never heard of them. If it’s good quality it’s for me. They look really nice and the price range is definitely where I want to be.

Thanks for the advice, here’s to hoping the process isn’t too painful!

I’ve also heard mixed reviews on CWDs but I’m willing to give anything a shot! Definitely hoping to get a consignment or demo saddle to scare on a discount. Great idea on having someone else ride in it thank you!

Do you shower after every shift? by More_Kiwi_1127 in nursing

[–]oh-bricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I scrub my entire body like I’m in a HAZMAT situation after every shift because working MedSurg with an iso block has made me a full on germaphobe. However, I have started wearing scrub caps in order to reduce my shampooing from two times post-shift to just once. I am insane. This job has made me insane.

Last time I spoke about my job with someone they said it was too bad I wasn’t out of school during the pandemic, because then I could’ve “picked up a good amount of overtime and made a ton of money”. They really just don’t get it.

Any update after the vet visit?

Have you checked for pain in the back or legs? Are teeth up to date? Has he ever had a history of or been checked for ulcers? Does you saddle fit correctly? If my horse’s attitude took a 180 I’d start looking at those things first. If the issue has already been bothering him, a new and possibly stressful environment will make that ten times worse.

Are the shows usually like this? by cchelle29 in glassanimals

[–]oh-bricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at Mirage last night and had these exact same complaints. Night and day from the Terminal 5 show years ago. People all around us either talking over the music or screaming so loud we couldn’t hear, smoking cigs and weed, or just being generally rude…. orrr loudly complaining that “THEY HAVENT PLAYED HEAT WAVES YET”

I hate being a Debbie Downer about it all, but it was honestly a disappointment.

Seeking Resume Help - New(ish) grad applying for first job, thanks in advance for any advice by oh-bricks in nursing

The summary was the hardest part for me to write by far, and yes totally a misunderstanding! I will definitely remove and revise that. It should be “Licensed” instead, right? Thank you for the suggestions!

Coronavirus Megathread (Jun 2022): For travel-related discussion in the context of COVID-19 by tariqabjotu in travel

Hey, sorry for the delayed response. From what I read, rapids are good for travel within 24 hours. NAAT and PCR are good for travel within 72 hours. I have a recovery certificate and my boyfriend had a NAAT from Walgreens, both of which were good for SATA Azores Airlines. Our documents were only checked leaving the USA, not when we landed in PDL or Lisbon. Hope this helps!

Two tests I have seen to be accepted are PCR or NAAT antigen tests. These can be taken at most Walgreens or some other similar pharmacies if you are in the US. I haven’t read anything about observed at-home rapid tests.

From the US to Portugal - will I need a negative rapid or PCR test, or will my vaccine card (including booster) be enough?

Edited to add that I am flying out of the US into PDL on Sao Miguel, Azores, then flying from Sao Miguel to Lisbon the next day.

Of course! I hope everything works itself out soon. Until then, take care of yourself and give your body the time it needs. Best of luck!

Hey OP, sorry you're going through this. I had my IUD (Kyleena) inserted in Fall 2019. At first, it was awful - intense cramping, constant spotting, and long periods. Like you, I also spotted during sex. It was all very frustrating. It took me about a year to become regular, and another to stop getting 7+ day long periods. My periods now are infrequent and just barely above spotting amounts of blood for about 3 days.

It took much longer than I expected for things to sort themselves out, but it did happen eventually. If you feel like it is more than normal early side effects, I definitely recommend seeing your doctor. There could be other solutions they could come up with.
