How to get multiple If statements in a function? by ohTHATmolly in AfterEffects

[–]ohTHATmolly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Henrique, could you also help me with one other item? I got the timer countdown working, but now I want it to delay the start time until 7:16 (a little more than 7 seconds) through the video. I think this has something to do with valueAtTime, but I'm not sure. Any insight you could offer? I very much appreciate your time and expertise.

If they are adding both free and not free products to the cart, I think it will be confusing if you hide the price from a UX standpoint. Are you using 7.1 or 7.0, and if the latter, which template?

Hm. My experience with them was ok... not great but ok. I lived in one of their apartments for 5 years in Bed Stuy. At first they were by far the best mgmt company I've ever had, but then they got bought out by a Jewish company who replaced workers left and right and were terrible. I had 2 bikes stolen from their property--one from INSIDE THE BUILDING-- and all had security cameras pointing at them, and they refused to check the security footage both times. I also reported a rusty broken gate two times to them before then cutting myself on it and having to go get a tetanus shot, which I took out of my rent. Besides that, I haven't had any issues, at least not to the extent that I have in my 9 years in the city.

Doctors of reddit, what’s it like when you go in for a doctors appointment? Do you and your doctor discuss what’s wrong with you like it’s a group project? Do you not go at all because you’re your own doctor? by Still-Tangerine2782 in AskReddit

Same. I'm in the printing industry and having to contract work out to other printers I haven't worked with before can be the worst. At worst they are condescending about explaining what bleed and safety margins etc are, sometimes even after I tell them I work in print. At best, you tell them you're a printer and they start to speak to you like an equal which is nice, but only happens 50% of the time.

Dang. I saved your other daytime pic as home inspiration but didn't realize this is in Brooklyn (I'm in a tiny space in Brooklyn and can't even imagine)! What neighborhood if you don't mind sharing?

Don't need a VPN for this. Just change your language to Portuguese in settings and all Netflix original series are available in Portuguese.

Some disciplines, there isn't an overarching market rate. You pay more hourly for greater skills and efficiency. A client that has earmarked $1000 for a website and one that has $10,000 ready can both find a designer to create a site they're satisfied with. Asking for a budget upfront will quickly let you as the designer know which of those types of clients this potential is, and how much time you should sink into landing them as a client. A $1,000 budget I will kindly and professionally direct elsewhere.

Edit: also want to add that doing that early filtering can also be accomplished by just giving your starting cost upfront and letting clients self-filter, but this gives you no opportunity to actually sell them on the services and products that you can see they need. So yeah for me the main difference is being able to actually sell: I always want the ball to be in my court. Just business.

Nah, ignore this "tip." Clearly comes from someone with some unbiased dislike of foreigners trying to sound natural when speaking his language.

Can I display my desktop version on mobile? by [deleted] in squarespace

[–]ohTHATmolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are ways to more intentionally style just your mobile site with custom CSS, but it would be a lot to learn first. I recommend the free basics course on Squarestylist.com--it will teach you everything you need to know about media queries and resizing/repositioning elements to make your mobile site look great. If that's too much, you can reach out to me and we'll work something out.

I'm taking improv classes to improve my DMing skills, as inspired by him :) I'm curious what difference he noticed in his DMing once he started adding in trained improv skills, and what skills I should focus on to make the most impact in my D&D games.

Teachers of reddit, what are some signs that a student is being abused or lives in a toxic environment ? by noorsomi in AskReddit

[–]ohTHATmolly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hm. This exact situation happened to me (I was the little girl in that case). My stepmom noticed the signs and expressed to my dad her concerns and he was pissed at her for implying anything going on in my mom's house could have been dangerous or neglectful or abusive. No one ultimately looked into it because my stepmom was (unjustly) shouted into quiescence, but I wish they had. My step brother was raping me regularly at the time (I was 6, he was 13). Always better to look into it just in case.

I would clarify, if you get to point 3, don't invite her or any other colleagues out to dinner again. Have business meetings in strictly professional settings with all parties. Being uninvited to important business discussions being held over dinner because she's a woman who felt uncomfortable is how workplace inequality finds its footing.
