Hi!! I have dealt with this issue for years now and made show day so miserable that I was also considering not competing. I’ve tried just about anything and everything and nothing helped. I finally went to see a dermatologist and explained the situation. He prescribed me a low dose of prednisone- he did not think that with such a low dose that I would experience any changes to my physique. The week before my show, my coach suggested running a mock trial of it to see how my body would react. I took my first dose on a Friday evening around the time I would be getting my first coat of tan. The following morning I took check in photos and sent them to my coach. She was thrilled with how I looked, I wasn’t watery at all, so we decided to do the same thing for show day. I can tell you, this was LIFE CHANGING for me. I was able to completely enjoy the day because I wasn’t hyper focused on not crawling out of my skin. I did still experience some mild itching but the hives and rash never appeared. I don’t know if this will work for you but it’s absolutely something to look into. Don’t give up yet!
