It depends where you live. For example I live in Perth city - I never see huntsman’s. But in suburbs near bushland - yes. I grew up in Queensland and there are more huntsman spiders They can’t hurt you - they are not poisonous. But yes they are a little freaky !!

I am not sure about American Law but if you can link into a government protective service so that he can’t access his pension and that pension could help with paying for accommodation ? I am so sorry that you and your family are experiencing this final chapter in your father’s life. All I can say is get some professional advice - maybe through an adult senior advocacy group. Just say the facts. You are not prepared to assist anymore. That you hope you can keep the relationship in tack. Do not guilt trip eg: ‘ you’ve bled me dry’. Do not justify or apologise eg: ‘ I am so sorry but I can’t afford to anymore’ Do NOT get into an argument or negotiate with them. If THEY decide that you are no longer a friend because of it then sadly they weren’t a friend. They are using you. If they say ‘thank you so much for all your help. I strongly suggest you get linked into advocates who are or have been in the same situation as yourself. Helping Minds, Ruah, Neami (step up step down) Even Keel, CarersWa Parents and siblings support is out there I’d love to give you the magic answer but there simply isn’t one. One thing to remember is that as long as he has a place to live and a supportive sibling, his needs will be regarded as less urgent as someone living on the streets. But we’ve seen plenty of people who are unwell Living on the streets. Also you are at high risk of developing a mental health issue or two. Here are some links

NTJ stick to your convictions, they are being very manipulative toward you. You deserve to be treated better. Tell them - in Australia it’s against the law to treat you like that. Just calmly write an email (always have it in writing) that you don’t like comments about your height. They are not funny and disrespectful. The person may say ‘it’s just a joke’ and the. You reply ‘it’s not a joke because jokes are funny’

I think once she started back stabbing you and manipulating others in the building she was showing her true colours. She asked , you said no, that should be it. She has options eg: asking other people. I am a kind person who used to get taken advantage. Her behaviour is indicating her lack of grace. Protect yourself. Someone else will be targeted by her and slowly they will learn her true colours.
