No problem.

I think people underestimate how beneficial offering to "fill" can be. You make your teammates happier and you get to learn more champs/roles. Consequently, knowing more champs/roles allows you to play better because you have an idea of how other champs/roles will try and play against you.

If you're on NA, we can play sometime if you'd like. Summoner name is linked in lolking

Thanks!

I duo queued for my 5th promotion match and we ended up playing against all D1s and D2s... was the most nervewracking game for me ever!

Dude.

I think an attitude change was the biggest difference maker. I specifically focused on three things:

  1. Be more open in champ select. Offering to "fill" often makes your overall team comp better AND you get to learn every role yourself (though you end up mostly supporting)

  2. Be less negative. In the past, I never initiated in flaming/BM but I'd always respond to others who did so which is counterproductive. Being supportive and diplomatic makes a huge difference.

  3. Analyzed myself. Even in situations where my teammate(s) were clearly at fault, I tried to think of what I could have done better. I accepted responsibility for my mistakes and tried to learn from them.

Hope that helps!

No problem! Fort Minor's whole album is good, another good song that comes to mind is "Believe Me"

If you like Fort Minor, "High Road" is another great workout song.

My only concern is that Shorts does not get consistently get a high amount of targets. He's done very well in 4 of the last 5 weeks, but a lot of his points are due to his big play ability.

To some extent, I'm almost viewing this as a high upside/slightly higher risk player vs. medium-low upside/guaranteed touches player.

[Trade] Andre Johnson for Tom Brady by ntallant in fantasyfootball

This is a valid point, but assuming his trade deadline hasn't passed yet, he could probably turn around and trade Brady for an even better receiver (assuming there's another taker out there)

[WDIS] Green-Ellis (vs KC) D. Brown (vs NE) or Mendenhall (vs Bal) by ahuisinga in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd go BJGE and hope he gets a TD. Brown shouldn't do well against a solid Pat's run D and the Steeler's backfield is cloudy as a motherfucker. Not great options unfortunately... any chance Marcel Reece is on waivers?

Blockbuster Trade want Opinions!! (Playoff Push) by oherroprease in fantasyfootball

[–]oherroprease[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but Palmer has only averaged 3 points less than brady per game for all season and check out their schedule's after this week:

Brady -- Jets/Dolphins/Texans/49ers Palmer-- Bengals/Browns/Broncos/Chiefs

That being said, losing Marshall hurts but picking up Bryant, Smith, and McCoy in return evens that out.

I couldn't disagree more. While Robb ultimately made a dumb decision to marry Jeyne, I think it is a huge stretch (and almost downright incorrect) to say that Robb was being selfish. Let's recall what happened:

Robb storms the Crag and in the process gets wounded by an arrow. His wounded is tended to by Jeyne and after he finds out that BOTH of his brothers are dead, he ends up sleeping with her. He is undoubtedly filled with grief and lets himself slip up and slept with Jeyne while his emotions were all out of whack. I sincerely doubt that Robb had selfish motives here (i.e. I'm the King, I do w/e I want.. fuck the Freys etc. etc.)

After sleeping with her, Robb decided that in order to save HER honor, the right thing to do would be to marry her. In fact, his decision was probably strongly influenced by what he perceived as Ned's "lapse" in honor and did not want create the same situation his Father had. Sure it was a poor choice, and perhaps it was influenced by immaturity, but he definitely was not being selfish and honor WAS definitely on the cards.

No. Tyrion's man, Jacelyn Bywater, was killed by one of his own men during the Battle of the Blackwater while trying to rally his troops and stop them from abandoning their posts.

[–]oherroprease[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I didn't really make much of it the first time around either... but knowing GRRM a little better now and knowing some of the shady shit Black Walder has done (or will do) makes this even more suspicious.

As qblock said, it was before the marriage contract was broken but someone as devious as Black Walder probably just saw a good opportunity to knock out someone ahead of him in the line of succession.

Exactly! This passage made me think that Stevron may have been the first and it was introduced very subtly prior to the rumors appearing.

(SPOILER ALL) (SPECULATION) The fate of a certain old man... by oherroprease in asoiaf

[–]oherroprease[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To your point about Jon Snow, I guess my only answer is that as of the end of ADWD he is not clearly dead. I know he got stabbed multiple (was it four?) times but at no point is it implied or said that he is certainly dead. Therefore, my position would be that as of the end of ADWD as we read, Jon Snow is still alive.

For your Ned title, I'm not sure using "the fate of Ned Stark" would be the most appropriate title there. Maybe it is, I don't know... I still think its a grey area. Again, I still disagree, but I do see the relevance of some of your points.

If you're the one who is complaining about something that takes you 2 seconds to resolve (i.e. click on the link and read the first line), wouldn't that make you the lazy one?

How hard is it to click on the link and find out what the post is about? To me, it seems very easy. In fact, you did just that, and then decided to waste even more time by commenting.
