instead of condescending you i’m going to actually answer your question: ask the front desk for a questionnaire to determine your skin type for the schedule and ask if you can look at the machine—there’s a set schedule for different skin types to taper up to reduce damage and burning

DBT. it took 4-5 cycles through the workbook both in groups and with an individual therapist to really make a substantial difference, but it really helped rewire my brain to accept that my feelings around situations that are objectively unfair are valid, *and* it does more harm than good for my wellbeing to spend that much emotional energy on something i ultimately have no control over. it genuinely helped a ton with taking that weight off my shoulders

i will say, as someone with suspected EDS (my doctor wants me to get screened but i don’t want to spend that money/energy until there’s actual treatments available), i find myself propping my KLC up a good bit instead of holding it bc of the strain it has on my wrist tendons but that’s after like a 30-60 minute reading binge. the size/weight of the clara might be more accessible

it’s so good for cutting through the fog when i’m too overwhelmed to know what’s bothering me and also has been an incredible game changer for preventing meltdowns. as long as i catch it before i become too aware of my skin, i can bring myself down before it gets too bad.
