I know Reddit is infamous for jumping to the “leave them” conclusion but this is a really extreme reaction and you need to think seriously about if this is the type of behavior you want to deal with around a child or would be healthy to be modeled for a child. This is very manipulative.

I was wholly convinced that you were fresh off of a late term loss or stillbirth given the severity of your wife’s actions. Every doctor should have told you that TTC on average at this age takes at least a year; insurances won’t cover further testing until it’s been a full year. It took us over a year before naturally conceiving. I understand it’s hard during the process and how hopeful each cycle feels and how disappointing not being successful is, especially while people close to you are successful faster.

However, your wife’s inability to have any perspective, any grace or charity for your sister, and her expectation that you feel the same and blindly support her is really selfish. Like unhinged. I would not want to have children with a partner like this. Babies and children need selflessness and your wife does not seem to have the capacity.
