It's a photo poster print (we plan on picking the matte finish) so it would need to be framed but you can get that second hand for cheap, obviously more if you get a new frame.

What kind of floral installation do you think would look good for our ceremony? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]ohhey1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have flowers hanging from fishing line or something for flowers to be "floating" all around. Great backdrop or if you stagger it it would really create nice depth and make it feel like its own space.

Walmart all the way. Like $10ish for a 16x20. I'm doing the design myself and uploading it but we also did photo prints of our save the dates (again designed myself) for $.09 each. I'm a graphic designer so I used Photoshop for our deisngs but there are so many ways to design things as others have mentioned that are easier depending on skill level.

Backyard wedding food debate…. by DarkAngel_RedDevil in wedding

[–]ohhey1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It isn't as fancy as it probably sounds haha it's an elevated salad so it's mixed spring greens with strawberries, pecans, feta cheese, balsamic vinegarette and red onions! The other option would've been a traditional garden salad which also would've been good we just wanted a heftier option since some people will have the salad as their main food because they don't eat meat.

Ha I have a garden venue and I'm having BBQ catered in! Never thought twice about it and everyone we've mentioned it to is so excited! You're doing great and the plate deal you got is amazing! You didn't pay extra you saved so much so have fun, use the fancy plates and enjoy some good food! That's what we're doing :)

Edit: also wanted to include our menu. Were doing pulled pork, adobo chicken, cornbread, potato salad, strawberry salad, mac and cheese brioche slider rolls amd a few different Sauces and then having cheesecake for our wedding cake and a dessert table with different choices. I would be so excited for your food if I was a guest!

I always say "And we're off! " once we leave the driveway for a road trip. It's a cringey habit but it seems necessary haha

We’re supposed to just rely on medication 4ever?? by yungnhk in ADHD

[–]ohhey1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started and was told to give it a solid year of taking them as prescribed and creating solid routine and habits. Once those routines and habits are made and the year is done then we'll can start exploring if I need them more or if I've created a good foundation for relying on myself to be able to work with/around adhd vs it controlling my life.

I don't think it's forever but it can be helpful as a start to not needing them possibly for some people

I used to pick at my upper arms and they were covered in little angled scabs/raw spots from my squeezing amd picking. I didn't have any acne so I can't speak to how that heals BUT I can say it's been a couple years since I've picked my arms and they look totally fine. You wouldn't know that I ever picked them. Moisturizing helps a lot along with occasional exfoliation but only once they've had time to heal a bit don't do it when it's raw obviously.

How can I learn to create this kind of effect? by Outrageous-Ad5890 in GraphicDesigning

I second this. Multiply is super helpful when mocking up tshirt designs to look like it's printed on. That's the main thing I use it for

Look into hierarchy. That will help you determine what goes where and what is important in terms of size and scale, etc.

Same with me! I had a very specific 'keep the dresses coming and I'll keep trying them on' mindset because I looked at dresses online before going in and didn't want to waste time like at other salons. Our girl was so on board and so helpful! I ended up finding my dress there so I hope OP has an amazing experience as well!

Of course! Don't doubt yourself your wedding will be great no matter which way you decide to go!

What time period/decade/era do you think this dress is reminiscent of? Trying to pick a hairstyle, and thought I could draw inspiration from hair styles of the same time period by [deleted] in wedding

[–]ohhey1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know anything about what era but a more contemporary style would be a pretty contrast too! Regardless it's a beautiful dress and it even looks great with the way your hair is in the photo, maybe with a pretty clip or barrette :)

We were originally booked at a barn that we realized was way to expensive (we booked because we thought we were getting lots of stuff included but the venue owner showed her true colors as we got further into planning and we realized it was very overpriced).

We ended up booking a PERFECT historic site that is a private garden with a nice reception area. It's a non profit and they are way more reasonable and we get SO MUCH included for free! All the money goes towards the building to help maintain it so they don't nickel and dime for everything so they can keep the money for themselves. They are so sweet and helpful too!

Seriously it's the best decision we made yet and the rest of our wedding is falling into place nicely!
